El Sitio Venezolano — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

I had limited myself from visiting a Venezuelan restaurant because of their high prices. However, I chose this one while we were on vacation in this state. Their prices are reasonable, but they didn’t have carne mechada, and I wanted my husband to try it for the first time. The empanadas were a bit thick, but the pabellón and the chicken were good. We liked the pastelitos. I thought the sauce was garlic sauce as it looked in their posts, but it wasn’t. I didn’t like the taste either—it was more mayonnaise than a real Venezuelan garlic sauce. A fantastic little place. Although it looks like a quick fast food joint, it is a carefully crafted sizeable selection of fantastic Venezuelan comfort food. The patacon is amazing and the staff is so friendly and helpful. If you are fluent in spanish it does help, but english versions of the menu are coming! I wouldn't wait. Got take out with some friends to try the menu, and literally everything was so good. Order was hot, accurate, and delicious. The empanadas were fresh and had a wonderful texture despite being to-go.
