After going to the store for several years I made friends with or at least I thought I made friends with the workers inside. In the past we've had issues with them not changing out gloves after handling money and I would mention it to her and ask them nicely and they would put on fresh gloves but if you don't pay attention then you're likely getting used gloves. Today was the most awful experience and I will be following up with the CDC the health department and my lawyer that's how bad it is. So I go in today and there's a very heavy smell of paint almost to the point where I had an instant headache I said are you painting back there she said no it's them next door. I didn't think much about it ordered my food still had to go to the grocery store unload groceries walk the dogs so on and so forth I finally get to the sandwich and chips and it might be the mustard starting to go bad so I did take a second bite in which I could definitely taste the paint then my mouth throat and stomach started burning and my heart started beating rapidly. I spit out the last bite into the bag which would have been my third and my girlfriend who came up to take a bite ask me why it tasted like paint and she had no idea of the situation. I went back up to the store at that point it had been about an hour to an hour and a half I still had the sandwich in whole minus the 3rd I told her you can't serve this food it has paint on it. She wanted to run her mouth about me acting like I wanted a refund which I didn't even mention she said you bought it at 3:00 and now you show back up at 5:00 this is how she responded to me I said well what difference does that make the sandwich is still right here so she gets the owner on the phone and they start talking their language that I can't understand which is very unprofessional because what is there to hide speak English neither one of them had any trouble speaking English. Not only did they refuse to give me a refund which I have never asked for complained about anything as far as the food goes anything as a matter of fact she used to smile at me when I came in and knows me personally. Out of the three years that I've been going there never have I complained about any food issue nor have I tried to return anything. I know for a fact that they own the store on Bell Road as well and they charge about $3 more for the same sandwich at this location. I explained to the owner very calmly what the situation was and she was very disrespectful. My main concern was not the money but the health concerns. What if a child gets ahold of that and it's too much for their system. With that being said they refused to give me a refund for what reason I have no idea other than the fact that they just can and the owner after I said I will report this to the health department this food can't be served to people it needs to be completely cleaned out to resolve the paint issue this is what she says do what you do and so I will my advice is don't go there because I promise you she has talked about people that didn't have enough money to pay for their food mostly of people of color and then has the nerve to give it to me instead of the person that needed it which I walked back out and gave it to her behind their back. She doesn't care to wear clean gloves after handling money or cleaning in the back if you decide to go there and you get sick it's on you just know that you have been warned! The discrepancy wouldn't be an issue if it was noted online when you order that certain items may be subject to location availability. However allowing the add-on, accepting the charge & confirming the order, then not even advising the customer with a simple phone call (preferably before they get there to pick it up) to offer a different option (to the number I was REQUIRED to provide online) is POOR customer service. Upon arrival the employee advised me they don't have avocado, proceeded to attempt to give me back a lesser & incorrect refund for it until I reminded him that it was $1.50 (he tried giving me ¢.30😒)& I still got ripped off because he gave it to me minus the tax I'd paid on it. Read moreI went in to buy a foot long sub 2 6 inch subs and the total came out to be 29.56 like how so I looked at the receipt and the lady was had charged me for 2 foot Long subs and 1 6 inch sub I told her how are you charging me For two subs if I’m getting one foot-long and 2 6 inches mind you one of the 6 inch subs only had bacon with extra bacon and bell peppers and the lady was trying to say that the sub with bacon was the same price as a foot long sub at this point the lady was being rude and even went as far as asking me if I understood English like I’m the one talking to you in a understandable English while she was the one talking more with an accent I asked her for my money back and all she did was say okay I went ahead and void the food you will get your money back in 1 week and I asked to get a receipt that stated I got a refund but she wouldn’t do that so definitely not coming back to this...
