Whitt's Barbecue — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

After just one visit to this Whitts location it was added to the list of places we regularly visit for dinner. Being one of the few Whitts restaurants you actually have the option of dining-in makes it even better. Without fail, every time I go into the restaurant I'm greeted by their staff immediately. They are always happy, and happy to tend to their customers as well. They are knowledgeable about the products offered and they are ready and able to answer any questions you have. When you place your order, the food comes out in no time. My order is always exactly as I ordered with zero mistakes. The food is always hot, fresh and delicious. The portion sizes are beyond plentiful and worth every penny, although it's very inexpensive compared to other restaurants of it's type. The dining room is always clean and with windows lining every wall, the sunlight pours in making it feel warm and cozy and you can't help but feel happy. The condiments are always well stocked and in their proper place making them easy to find. On top of the cleanliness of the dining area being top notch, the restrooms also always stay clean and well stocked making it that much more obvious that the staff takes pride in keeping things clean, organized, safe and easy for their customers. Who doesn't like great food, for a great price, from a great team of workers, in a great place, with a great reputation?! This has easily become one of my favorite places! I’m done with Whitts after tonight - the food is delicious but they literally mess up my drive thru order EVERY SINGLE TIME and no one cares. Today as I went inside to collect my missing item for the hundredth time I mentioned as nicely as I could muster that my drive thru order is always messed up and instead of an apology, I got an eye roll. No one ever writes the orders down, so the employees must be instructed to call the food by memory and this is clearly a problem. I’ll be counting down the days until the Donelson Edley’s opens! Ordered a pork plate with green beans and baked beans. The pork was overloaded with salt. I’d go as far to say this was the highest amount of salt I’ve tasted in BBQ meat pre-sauce ever. It’s like cheating when you do that. Let the BBQ speak for itself. Green beans were unnaturally green. After the salt experience I have a slight suspicion green food coloring was used in the green beans. Baked beans were good. Bread was good.
