As person that has worked in food service for 6 yrs I can honestly say this is one of the worst dining experiences I've personally had. It was a mild night got seated within 5 minutes and order taken shortly after sitting down order drinks apps and main course, drinks were brought out as we were sipping on those wait for our 2 appetizers another party of 6 sat down next to us shortly after they order they received drinks and apps at this point we still hadn't gotten any apps and were almost finished with drinks. After they received their food I started to feel ignored after getting the attention of another server we we told it's just been a busy night but our food would be out in a few minutes. After waiting for 28 minutes at the table we received one appetizer that was incorrect because we specifically ordered it with no pico and no onions, my second appetizer was completely forgotten about yet it was still added to the deal at the end. When making my order with the waitress I had specifically mentioned that I had went online and seen the sake with shrimp however on their menu in store it was not on there and I asked her if it was still available she said yes if I could have that one my dinner companion also one of the exact same one we ordered our steaks medium well and medium rare my steak was rare at best. *The bathroom stunk horribly made me nauseous as soon as I walked through the door, was definitely not being cleaned on a regular basis as I have gone in there when we first entered the restaurant and there was a drink cup sitting on the sink an hour later and went back as we're leaving the drink cup was still there. She is fairly new, and works the 2nd shift. 😀 I've dined in 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ restaurants all the way down to dive bars and "Hole in the walls." ⭐️ Hands down, she is one of the most efficient, personanable, and kind servers I have ever encountered! 💯 In fact, I was so impressed that, once I open my own restaurant next month, 🍾🎊🎉 I plan to offer her better hours at 20% more than what she makes now, plus bonuses/profit sharing! 🤫 And I am DEAD A$$ SERIOUS ABOUT THAT! Anyways... as for the food. We'll, it's Applebee's! A solid 2 1/2- 3⭐️'s. You know what you're getting! It's not Ruth Chris, but it's definitely not Jack In the Box either! 🤢 You look for the deals and drink specials... and enjoy an affordable meal with a guest. 🤷♂️ But it's people like Kelli who make a 2-3 star experience "feel" like a solid 4-5!
(Side note) There was this middle aged black guy who was there on the same shift. He wasn't our server, but I noticed that he smiled and greeted every table he passed. He didn't ignore anyone who stopped him, even though he wasn'ttheir server. He seemed just as efficient as Kelli! I'm likely to offer him the same employment package as Kelli! Read moreI had several problems with my dinner. First, it took a few minutes to be seated at 6pm before the dinner rush. No one else was waiting and they did not have that many customers. Had the rest of my dinner gone well, this would be a non-issue, but that was not the case. My husband and I were served our meals but my 7 yr old daughter was not. Her meal, supposed Kraft mac & cheese, had been delivered to the wrong table. It was almost 10 minutes before my daughter was served. Seems like that would be a really quick meal to serve. The mac & cheese did not taste like Kraft so she was disappointed after having to wait. My steak was well done when I ordered it medium rare. It also did not look grilled. The grill marks looked wrong and the meat looked baked, an even very light brown. My second steak was also over cooked, between medium and medium well. This one also didn't look grilled. The top was again a too even color except for the grill marks which had no indentations. The bottom was over browned and very flat indicating it was either pan cooked, oven cooked, or left too long on a flat grill. I asked if it was grilled or cooked in the oven and was assured that it was grilled. In addition, my wedge salad was missing the bacon on the second plate. If was a total fail.
