I was greeted in Spanish but they were not friendly after I answered in English. They assumed my race by color of my skin and asked me, "why I never learned my language". These girls working the counter will also assume you are either paying "together or separate" if a man and woman are standing in line next to each other, but never asked this to groups of one gender standing in line before me. They asked me this 3x assuming me and the man behind me were a couple and the man said he wouldn't mind if I paid in a joking way. I asked the counter helpers and cashier why they assumed this, (out of curiousity) and they told me that is how they ask to make sure they are charging correctly. I calmly suggested they just ask people how many plates customers have and not make assumptions about people's marital status. This clearly upset the two girls near the register and they got sassy with me stating that I'm the only person to complain about that. They are rude, have no critical thinking skills, and lack empathy. I suggest to management they need more communication and customer service skills as making biased assumptions based on race, skin color and marital status is indeed discrimination. I have also forwarded this...
Read morePlaza Bonita Location: The first incident was last year when my daughter found a worm of some sort in her beef and broccoli and the store manager gave her attitude instead of issuing a refund. So we do not eat their veggies anymore. The second incident happened this weekend as we were ordering orange chicken and went to pay for it and noticed a roach crawling from behind the counter and we asked for a manager and gave the food back. Asked for a refund and the manager did not want to give us a refund. Argued with my teen daughter as the roach continued to crawl all over the counter and made its way on the card machine for the POS system. We asked once again for a refund and have yet to receive it. The manager then asked my daughter not to record, which she was not recording but definitely should have recorded everything. WE WILL NOT BE EATING AT THEIR...
Read moreI asked the lady serving is I could have the “bigger plate” and she says “of course”, so I select 1 side dish and 3 entrees as It said on the menu thinking it was gonna be $9.40 like it said. I also add on 1 chicken egg roll making the total to be approximately $11. First of all, the cashier charged me $7.50 which is the price of a “plate”, not the “bigger plate”, then the two entrees in the plate were $1.25 each and the one they put into a box $1.50. So I guess what they really mean by a $7.50 plate is just 1 side. Also they ended up give me a vegetable spring roll rather than an egg roll. My total ended up being around $16. I don’t care much for the total but it really pissed me off that they were doing everything wrong because they were rushing. I’d rather them take longer and get my order right...
