Nardelli’s I’ve been in Connecticut for 13 years and I’ve never been to a Nardelli‘s. Huge mistake on my part, I have definitely learned from it. I got parking when I pulled up right on the side. I walked in and there was a few people ahead of me. Stacey greeted me as soon as I came in and said she’ll be right with me. She did a wonderful job of explaining my choices and getting the food prepared quickly. Tons of delicious choices in the food case. I change my mind three times before I settled on the prosciutto hot pepper chicken grinder. Obviously I got it toasted to bring out more of the flavor. I decided to get a dessert. I originally picked up a red velvet cake. On my way back to the register I noticed the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen, Waffle rolled cheesecake! I filled up my cup with lemonade, thanked Stacey for her hospitality, and grabbed my food to go. Before pulling away I had to sample the waffle cheesecake. Without exaggeration, this is the greatest dessert I’ve ever eaten and will be back soon to Nardelli‘s. Loved the grinder. The combination of chicken with prosciutto was fantastic. The hot peppers were just a bonus to go along with the melted provolone on the. Highly satisfied and five stars with...
Read moreWell I thought they were nice ppl but now that I checked online, says they serve from 9am to 9pm and now I think they are not nice. Today I went in again thinking they won't turn me away again since two days ago I went in to see if they had coffee which they didn't (thought ok, not all places sell coffee, I'm a New Yorker, coffee is sold everywhere) then lady tells me to go to the diner next door. So today I went in since I thought they served sandwiches, I asked the same lady, "Do you sell sandwiches?", lady replies with we only do lunch and dinner to go next door to diner for sandwiches. I told her "no, I will buy something from the display" and bought a salad. Never received such bad customer service two times from the same 30 year old woman. I have lived in many places and never have been turned away just like that as if i was a nuisance. I will never go to your sandwich place again...I would rather go to my nearest Subways. Lady didn't even ask me if I wanted dressing for my salad and thought they must be at table somewhere. Nope ate a salaf, plain. No thank you Nardellis. I felt like she didn't like me. Not sure why cause two days ago was my first time. Oh well, you...
Read moreI used to go to Nardelli's alot even when there were other local delicatessens that gave more meat for less money. Because the the Milite's bread was so good. I have not been going much since Milite's closed, but my son and I just went to the Naugatuck one while we were out and I was very disappointed with the roasted turkey grinder I got. I didn't expect the bread to be great like it was, but it was pretty soft and bla. The turkey tasted like nothing, like the watery stuff that comes in plastic containers. I couldn't even taste the cheese and the vegetables were not good either and they are diced so small they fall off all over the place. So I got everything except olives and hot sauce and the sandwich had no flavor. Definitely not worth the money anymore. As there are much better places for a couple of dollars less per sandwich. They also put most of the meat right in the middle so where they cut it it looks like a lot, but there is almost nothing on the ends. I know that everything is expensive now, but we still make better sandwiches at home for about a third...
