I've been here before and was never really too let down with my experience but when I came this past Saturday I couldn't have been more disappointed. First of all, I'm a local and this wasn't my first time eating here but it has been about 2 years since I was last here. I had a party of only 2 and we started out with an appetizer which was the buffalo chicken dip. It took about 20 minutes to come to the table and when it did the cheese was barely melted and the chips to dip ratio was way off. Our food finally came out about another 20 minutes later and was severely disappointing. I ordered the chicken strips dinner with French fries which were not the least bit warm. I only got 3 chicken strips which I figured i would get at least 4 based on the price tag but at least they weren't cold, probably because they were extremely overdone. Didn't get the dipping sauce I had ordered but it didn't matter anyway. My husband ordered the Ruben with no sauerkraut and the bread was so toasted and hard he could barely bite into it. Our waiter didnt even bring our food out to us and our drinks ran dry. He only checked on us once the whole time we were there and that was only when we were ready to go. When he saw that we had barely touched our food and asked if we wanted to-go boxes we said no. That should've been his clue that something wasn't right but not once were we asked how everything tasted or if we were okay or anything. In fact I could see our waiter hanging out in the corner at the back of the restaurant with his back to the dining room the entire time we were there goofing off on his phone with another waitress. When we finally got our bill which was about 60 bucks and not worth a penny, he never came back to get our payment so we walked up to the hostess station to try and pay. One of the two hostess' on duty very rudely told me she can't take our payment and to sit back down. I stated that our waiter had ignored us all night and we were ready to go. She made the comment that they are very understaffed yet when I looked around the room I counted a total of 4 waiters and 2 hostess' standing around doing nothing but playing on their phone and the place was not even half full. Needless to say it will probably be another 2 years before I return. Eating out is a luxury for my family and to throw away 50 something bucks on food we didn't even eat and crappy service is not my idea of a place I'd like to return to. Only reason I gave 2 stars is because I've had decent service...

I worked at Stripes Pub and Grill for 2 months for 2 months while my husband was at Basic Training and left because he got medically discharged and we moved to Pensacola to pursue school and careers. We have since come back to Stripes Pub and Grill twice after I left and have recommended to several people trying to help with business. My husband and I are young married and college students and don’t have a lot of money but still come back a 40 minute drive to eat at Stripes. We brought a group of seven people this last time we went and I promise you it will be the LAST time that we go. We were with all active military people and we waited 20 minutes outside for a table and were gracious outside, when we were seated we didn’t rush our server Becky because we knew it was a football night and it was busy. Then we waited patiently for our food and when it came time to pay we paid our amount and got ready to leave when I was pulled aside from my former manager Blake. He pulled me aside and told me that if we weren’t going to “tip zero dollars we should not come back to Stripes.” I went back to my table shocked knowing they knew the position my husband and I were in and after spending 40$ on our meals. I asked the other guests we came with what they were talking about and they were furious as they had all tipped a hefty amount for our server that had only come to the table TWICE in the hour that we were there. The men at our table went to talk to the manager Blake and the owner after I told them what happened and were very upset over how disrespectful they were to us. They then were speaking to the ownership and realised our waitress Becky had lied and said that NONE of our table had tipped when 6 out of 7 checks had tipped. They then told us that if “we are too broke to tip then we shouldn’t come to their establishment.” I will NEVER return to this establishment after bringing them multiple people in and referring people to come eat here and being disrespected to not us but the people that we were with telling us we were “too broke to eat here.” This is ridiculous. We all paid our checks and the 6 other checks tipped a very good amount and our waitress Becky lied and told the management we didn’t and that we received NO apology. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant especially a military establishment being so rude and disrespectful to ACTIVE...

I have been going to Stripes for 7 plus years, I work in the industry and recommend this place to fellow tourist daily!! However, this stopped today.... our experience was beyond awful!! First, we were not acknowledged by our server for at least 20 minutes, which she blamed on her previous table "they were shopping", not really sure what she meant by that. Then, my daughter's mac n cheese was luke warm at the best, all of our food arrived at different times as well as wrong entrees were brought to the table at first. My son ordered wings but they put the wrong dipping sauce in his basket which made the blue cheese dressing spill over half his wings, he does not eat blue cheese whatsoever so we addressed this situation to our server; who snatched the basket away and told us he would probably be waiting awhile as the kitchen was backed up. The wings I ordered were lacking sauce and were also luke warm, I was charged for the extra blue cheese (which I ordered) but most spilt into my sons wing basket. I mentioned to the server we've been here lots and never had such a horrible experience with the food and service, she told a manager; however they never appeared at our table just discounted his wings. When the wings (they messed up) were brought out after waiting over 30 minutes for his food it was like a version of "Honey I shrunk the wings"!! (pic attached) I used to rave about their wings as I have never ordered anything different because they WERE so good. Our server never asked if we needed anything else so I had/chose to go to the bar to order another cocktail. My daughter retrieved paper towels from the restroom as half our table was eating wings and our server vanished and we got 4 napkins in total. After reviewing the bill I kindly asked my charge for extra blue cheese be taken off and the "manager " acted as if I were from another planet. Lastly, my son was still eating his fries and our server removed his basket after he literally just ate a fry from the basket. I am incredibly disappointed with the quality of food, professionalism from the staff, and the loss of our favorite local restaurant. Something has changed and it's not for the better, I feel guilty for recommending this place to others so hopefully they see this review and know to...

I like the idea of Stripes, I like the decor inside Stripes. But that's all. We ordered the fried green beans and fried pickles as appetizers. Tasted frozen, but didn't taste terrible. They were ok. I ordered a Reuben with fries, and my wife ordered wings with fries. The Reuben was a letdown. The meat tasted like it was from a grocery stores deli. It was extremely thin and very bland. All of the meat was stacked in the middle of the bread. When I spread the meat over the bread in a single layer, the meat didn't even cover half of the bread. The rye bread, obviously store bought, was the best part about the sandwich. I can't speak to how the wings were first hand, but my wife states they were bland as well. I'm not sure of the flavor she asked for. The staff were ok. Very pleasant and kind, but after placing our food order, they disappeared. Took nearly 30 minutes after we finished eating to get the check. I gave them 3 stars for a few reasons. First, I'm a veteran. I love the decor, and again, I like the idea. Second, I think there is tons of room for improvement. From the kitchen, to the bar, to the wait staff. We probably won't eat here again, unless there is a major change, in the quality of the ingredients of the food. Last, once the novelty of the decor wears off, it's just another bar in a shopping center. Nothing really special about it. But again, there's a lot of room for improvement. And I hope they make some changes and are a place for residents and visitors alike.

We went to stripes grill during our vacation in May. Pros: Overall the restaurant was clean and they seated us fast. Our waiter seemed friendly and the food was fresh. Cons: the restaurant charges a 20% tip that you are forced into paying no matter how well the service was. They also charge a percent extra if you use card. Which wasn’t a problem because we did have cash handy. But the other negative was I have inflammatory bowel disease and I cannot eat anything deep fried. I asked the waiter for a hamburger by itself because I am not able to eat grease. She did not disclose to me I would be charged for a side(fries) regardless if I got one or not. So I paid $14 for a hamburger by itself. If I would have known up front I would have been charged I would have found another side I could have gotten and gave it to my kids. It’s unfortunate that even if you have a medical condition you can’t just order a sandwich by itself. My daughter and I both asked for very well done and they both had a lot of pink in them so I could only eat about half of it. We were also charged 0.50 for ranch that we did not get? I did not catch it till the ride home. Overall I do not think I would return.
