Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Navasota

3/12/2016....Shortly before 7 PM I went inside at the Navasota Dairy Queen and placed an order to go for 1 Junior Burger cut the onions, 1 Junior Burger all the way with cheese, and 1 small vanilla milk shake. Around 7:15 PM the lady brought my order and when I arrived home I had the milk shake, with 1 order fries and one burter of some other type. Shame on me for not checking the order before I left the Dairy Queen. I called back and spoke with Maria Carmen. I explained my problem and she asked me to bring the order back in for them to check. Well this was something I couldn't do at that time and I told her I could come in the next day shortly after noon. That wouldn't work for her. She asked me to come in the next day after 4 PM and she would give me the two correct burgers. I asked about the shake and she explained for me to go ahead and drink my shake. I explained that I ordered the shake to drink with my burger. OK, so she still wants me to come in after 4 PM the next day which I was unable to do that after 4 PM. I told her I would call the franchise owner and that is how we left it. This is not the first time that this Dairy Queen has gotten my order wrong. As I said, shame on me for not checking the order. I will not go back to this place of business again unless I am absolutely starving and only if I plan to eat there, and as I said only if I am starving. Maria was unwilling to work out an acceptable solution to the problem. I could have went back in a couple of days to make the problem workable. .....I do not recommend this Dairy Queen in Navasota...

My wife debated whether to pull into the DQ in Navasota this evening, because the exterior did not appear to be clean. Against, my better judgement, we did to order 2 small ice cream cones. The person over the speaker told us they could “only sell large cones”. We stated we didn’t want large, but small. Even though he never told us the reason, I would have to assume they were out of small cones. My wife asked if we could get the large cones, but only with the amount of ice cream of a small. He said he would charge us for large cones! WHAT???? This restaurant is dirty and at least this one person is not trained and is not committed to provide good customer service. We drove off and went to Sonic. Great service and ice cream. Good bye DQ, hello Sonic! DQ needs to employ better people dedicated to...

Melany, who did more than simply take our order, she helped us by recommending we try something new and different.

Sara, in the back overhead and decided to help out and actually whipped up a sample and made our choice an easy one! Now we're hooked!

Thanks to this dynamic duo, Melany and Sara, they will be responsible for our repeat visits to Dairy Queen over the next year!

Not to mention the additional revenue resulting from their ability to upsell and satisfy our appetites for new menu items.

They'll probably be running the place by the time we visit this location...
