Unfortunately this review is merely concerning what I consider to be very poor customer service and marketing.
I’m always in pursuit of the next best burger, so although I was reluctant about paying $13.50 for a 1/3 lb. (Small) burger, I decided to give GBC a try.
Having only a 30 minute lunch break, I ordered online. Gave that 2 attempts, and the second attempt informed me to contact the restaurant. So I called ahead, attempting to save the precious few minutes I have for lunch. An automated greeting informed me that GBC is not taking online orders nor phone in orders, but come on by.
So I did. I walked in and went to the register, where a lady just stood looking down at her mobile device. I looked up at the very open kitchen, which is right by the register, and the entire crew didn’t even acknowledge my existence. Lady at register continued to stare at device.
Having had such an unwelcoming experienced, I walked right out! Thus, no review on their quality of food…nor will there ever be from...
Read moreThe decoration of the burger place was very voguish. The vehicle out front was what really caught my attention on the decor. The workers were friendly, but to say so on the 3 stars of service is more about the issue of the restaurant itself. I had ordered 2 Garage Burgers and a milkshake to go, for my friend and I. The burgers were well cooked. What really got me was I had to apply the toppings myself. I think if i'm to pay 15$ for a burger that them putting on the condiments was a given lol. I was waiting and viewing other people get their food and shakes. They put the shakes in the typical milkshake glass. When I had gotten mine, in a to go cup, id say it was about 1/3 of the milkshake glasses. I’d say it’s a bit unfair I paid the same price as others, who ate then and there, and got a smaller size. It was about 7$ per shake or maybe it was 6.50$. It’s insane and I probably won’t be ordering food there. Anyways what really bugged me was I didn’t...
Read moreLoved the vintage look and candies available for purchase. Salad bar had lots of options and burger toppings had options for pickles, onion, lettuce, tomato, and jalepenos with ketchup, mayo, The Garage sauce which was delicious and mustard. The chocolate milkshake tasted like a Wendy's frosty. The burger patties were thin but full of flavor and their regular fries were crispy. I got the Garage Burger on the menu with bacon added for $1 more. I would definitely go again. We did wait a while for our food, however this was their grand opening day and still working...
