China Inn — Restaurant in Navasota

We stopped by on a whim while going through Navasota. The location looked sketchy, the building looked run down, and the nearby green space was overrun. But... we were hungry. The inside was just as bad looking as the outside, with outdated decorations and literal holes in the walls. We could see sunlight through the crack by our table... but! The food was surprisingly good, and that was what we were there for. I sampled most everything on the 8$ afternoon buffet. The egg rolls and general tso's chicken were my favorite. The food is decent, can’t complain. But it does take a while to make. Which is also fine by me. Reason for my review is because of how rude the lady was tonight. Just moved to town, found this place and I’ve gone three times this month. Today when I ordered (the same thing I’ve ordered each time) there was no sweet & sour sauce. So I drove all the way back because that makes the dish for me. Lady said it doesn’t come with our food. It had the two times before. But fine, she said $0.25 each. So I have her my card because it was all I had, and she said cash only. I won’t be going back, I’ll try the other Chinese...

This was a nice little hole in the wall place to enjoy some lunch with my sister. We opted for the lunch buffet. There are a decent amount of options on the lunch buffet. My favorite was the garlic green beans, black pepper chicken, and the egg drop soup. The staff members were all very polite and attentive. We never had empty drinks. It's an older building so it was a little warm inside, but that's okay. The establishment was clean and well kept. Prices were very reasonable. For the lunch buffet and a fountain drink, it cost less than $15/person. Overall, it is definitely a place I would go...
