Read moreMy wife and I order take out from Maria's in Neosho at least TWICE a week. - the last 8-10 times they have "forgotten" or overlooked the tortillas that come with my wifes' dinner. We ordered today and once again, no tortillas. - I called and spoke with the same woman who answered when I called the order in. - The woman seemed to have little to zero concern for my repeated problems. - I expressed to her that I live 20+ minutes out and can't just go right back up and grab whatever was not included. Again, she remained silent with the exception of an audible sigh that I felt was intended to let me know that she wasn't interested in listening to me. I further informed her that if there is nothing that can be done and if no assurances could be given, then I would be better off going to one of the other Mexican food places in town. - The response was simply, "Good for you!"... - - Good food or not, with the service for take-out being questionable and the attitude being openly sarcastic / rude, I will NOT bother this establishment with my twice weekly business again. - Looks like it's gonna be Acambaro in Monett from here out. Best case scenario is that a member of the management reaches out to me and tells me that they had a temp crew in and that the attitude and customer neglect was unfortunate but temporary. - Doubtful that this will happen though. - Follow up on 06-15-2019 -- Went back on Wednesday the 12th of June and asked politely to speak with the manager when he was available, informed the waitress that I was the one who had the issue the week before. - The waitress came back and informed me that he was busy and I quietly expressed that I would rather wait a few minutes for the few customers to finish and depart before I would want to discuss anything. - She nodded as though she understood and shuffled back into the kitchen area. - no less than 4 minutes later the waitress came back out to inform me that he was too busy to speak with me. - (At this time my wife and I were the ONLY customers in the restaurant.) - My wife and I quietly finished and left. - Today (Father's Day) My wife and I enjoyed yet another visit to Marias once again, - Not that shocked to find out that nothing had changed. - The attitude was still cross, respect seem to be at an all time low. - After my initial post, the manager spoke with me and assured me that he would take care of things, offered to speak with me when time allowed and never heard from him again. -- Needless to say, this restaurant is now a done deal for me. - I really put the effort in to try to turn this around into a positive review and hoped it was nothing more than an instance of one disgruntled employee. - No such luck, it seems to be a new thing that happens daily. - We will...
Was not a bad experience with the food about the middle of the pack in terms of quality. The portions were on the small side as I usually need a to go container and have enough to have a second meal the following day. This wasn't the case here. I ordered what I refer to as the triple threat Fajitas. Basically, 3 proteins are typically shrimp 🍤 steak and chicken 🐔.
I also try to barter to trade the tortillas for a roasted Jalapeno pepper or two.
Chips were decent quality and quantity, and she brought me out both a hot and mild salsa.
Price was slightly higher than what I usually pay in the southern states but was more on par with a northern state Mexican restaurant where there is not as much competition.
The decor was next to non-existent inside with 6 framed pieces displayed. The outside is completely bare, stucco. They definitely need to step up their game in this regard.
My only real pet peeve was the large number of flies that kept landing on different parts of my anatomy at the most...
Read moreWell. The food was good. But..when it came time to pay, it took them 20mins to give us our change because the restaurant drawer is locked and only one person has the key and doesn't bother to be somewhere to be found.. 20mins pass and they still can't locate this person so my family and I can leave. So.. they get under the register, pull out a personal wallet, hand us most of our change. Pull out a second wallet and still, only gave us most of what we were owed. There wasn't enough between the 2 wallets to pay us. So, because of this ridiculous ordeal, they got the tip left on the table and then more because they literally can't pay us what we're owed. Yeah. So... Needless to say I will not be going back to the Neosho location lol. The Webb City and Joplin locations have never disappointed me. Provide exactly what's expected for the price. But something seriously went wrong that day at the Neosho one and it was bad enough to leave a...
