Last week I was helping my friend move out of her house only to discover at 9pm that we already packed up all her kitchenware and it was under pretty much everything else in our car. Well with no way to cook our Kraft Mac n Cheese, I knew we had to move fast to make sure we would be able to eat or else we would be stuck alone in her empty house, two tired, hungry and stressed out young women. I knew that was a recipe for disaster because my hanger is unmatched. I'm the reason they made those Snicker commercials "you arent you when you're hungry" and she and I can bicker like no other when we're well fed to begin with. Hunger was not an option. So I ordered my favorite pie and showed up literally 2 minutes before they closed. I used to work in the restaurant industry and I hated myself for being that person, cause let's face it I was the last customer of the night and I knew these people just wanted to go home. I apologized profusely and explained the situation. Nick at the register then became our literal savior. He offered me any of the leftover slices from the display since they would otherwise be thrown out. Let me tell you how we spent our last 20 bucks on the pie we ordered and he managed to feed us through the rest of our move, which took 3 more days. THANK YOU NICK AND BRUNOS FOR SAVING US FROM GOING AT EACH OTHER'S THROATS CAUSE I WASNT READY TO BE A...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWow. This really sucks to have to write this because I definitely, like just about everyone else who grew up here on the REAL shore, have the fondest memories of having eaten Bruno's. That being said... what I ordered and what I got, made me wish I knew Doc and Marty McFly so I could hitch a ride back to the past!! I ordered a chicken parm dinner with ziti in place of the spaghetti. The chicken was old, tough, unflavored, and dry. The pasta was none too fresh either and was very similar in taste to regular store-bought. One little hint, you can not revive a dish by smothering it in sauce hoping it would cover the taste. Or by melting cheese over the top to make it look more appealing. I take absolutely no joy in writing this but the disappointment I felt not being able to finish the dish, which has risen in price DRAMATICALLY, like just about everything else these days. For the price, I would at least expect the same quality dishes your place used to serve, like back in the 90s. I give them a 3 only because of the legacy this place has. I would love to be able to give them 5 stars in the future... if I return. I know I'll probably catch a bit of flack for this, but the truth...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWow I seriously felt like I was on the set of night of the living dead remake!!! From the minute I walked in and had the guy acknowle me by saying "yes". To when I asked how much are the subs and he replied "the prices are on the board". None of the people there smiled. I felt nothing but cold asnd awkward. I also don't appreciate when I went to get a bottle of soda that everyone stopped and stared at me like I was going to steal it and run off. This is the first time being at the new location and I am sorely unimpressed. I miss the high quality service i received at the old location. These young kids working there truly need to work on there people skills. Believe it or not a simple smile, a hello, how are you and have a good day when I leave goes a long way. I...
