BLT to die for! Best EVER! Eggsceptionally Good!

Review for Eggscellent, 2534 E. Desert Inn Road, Las Vegas, NV 89122, on the north side of the street, east of Eastern Avenue in the Ross Dress for Less shopping center near the east end, on June 14, 2022, about 2pm. This is definitely a 5 (five) star review. Great food, great service, nice ambiance, cute decorations, service with a smile! I could never find anything except fast food in this area, and I was so hungry for some breakfast! We lucked onto Eggscellent. It is WELL named! My 14yo son and I, dropped into this little hole-in-the-wall diner hoping to find a good meal. And we were impressed by the FOOD and SERVICE! We were immediately greeted with a smile and receiving smiling service throughout meal. We ordered two coffees and they came with a bowl French vanilla creamer. The coffee was the perfect temperature, we could drink it right away, but it was hot enough to warm us up. Then we perused the menu. It had dozens of regular to exotic to interesting to … too much to choose from and it all looked and sounded great! I’m into regular meals that taste as good as home, but I have already decided to try their eggs benedict dishes on my next visit. [I don’t usually eat benedict anywhere except Kitchen Table which is OMG good, because most places simply cannot make good Hollandaise sauce.] So that tells you, I believe in their offerings right from the start – Excellence is in their name and their food! I ordered a BLT, no tomato, extra mayonnaise on the side with fries, plus a side of ranch for my fries (see the fantastic photo). My son ordered the Chorizo Skillet (again, see photo). We were offered refills of our coffee three times before the food came out, and the food came out quick. My son grabbed a couple of my fries, and we both said at the same time, “These taste the same as the old-fashioned McDonald’s fries.” They were so perfectly crispy and salty, and delicious. Don’t even get me started on the BLT – OMG OMG – the best EVER! I’d stop there daily for just this BLT. I do not usually like restaurant BLTs because many use the thick bacon now, which gets hard when you fry it and is not ideal for sandwiches. The bacon in this sandwich was perfect, delicious and overflowing with goodness! The lettuce was crisp, the bread was yummy! I’m telling you; IT DOES NOT get better than this! Just look at that photo! My son’s order was just as delicious (see photo)! His skillet was piled high with deliciousness! Allow me to start with the fact we're not locals but are here fairly often, when we come we go looking for diamonds in the rough, gems of places that you like to feel you stumbled upon and as a former local I know how important it is to NOT overlook places that you pass daily and wonder if you should try.

EGGscellent Breakfast & Lunch is EXACTLY THAT KIND OF PLACE. First off it was selected at random from a Google search as a place for Breakfast near me. It was just around the corner from the appointment we had early that morning. It was small, quaint and clean. Our Waitress (her name was Gina) was AWESOME, having never been there she explained that they're known for their Hashes (all looked amazing), Their Benny's (Eggs Benedict) and their Boxes.... while I didn't try one today I ASSURE YOU I will be on our next visit... perhaps even tomorrow. Boxes are basically a Benedict built Inside a hollowed out 1/3rd loaf of bread... seriously you gotta see then they look great.

I settled on the Butcher Benny. Now I will admit that I asked for extra hollandaise sauce, and I used it, BUT that was the equivalent of just putting some whipped cream on a cake it was already going to be amazing and while my cholesterol may not have been a fan.... I ABSOLUTELY WAS. Now when one gets a Benedict they know that regardless of how well it's done it's going to be roughly what you're expecting so when I say that I was not just pleased... I was SURPRISED at just how good this Benny was. The sauce was amazing, the poached egg was EXPERTLY made, and the meat was perfectly crispy without being hard chewy or crunchy..... I mean it was an amazing meal. I also got the Potatoes instead of the hashbrowns and got them with peppers and onions on top. The potatoes were also PERFECT and I'll tell you I'm picky with my potatoes, so all Together the meal was amazing

My wife got the Stuffed Croissant French Toast with mascarpone and strawberries and strawberry compote. First off it was moist, perfectly cooked, and EXTREMELY generous with the strawberries and cream sauce. I had to take a small test and now I wonder why more people don't do French Toast Croissants they're AMAZING.

Finally I want to mention Gina one more time, she was great, didn't impose and gave us AMPLE TIME to eat and finish our meals. If you can ask for her cause she was one of the reasons we enjoyed this...
