Nekter Juice Bar — Restaurant in Nevada

My first experience here was wonderful. The young girl who helped me was great! I ordered my usual. Berry bowl with strawberries, blueberries, coconut flakes, light agave, and acai NOT blended. (Blended acai is not common, but this is how they do it at Nektar.) I don't like mine blended, so I ALWAYS ask for it not to be blended. I've never had an issue with that at any Nektars.

I called to order my Berry bowl for pickup. I was told they couldn't take orders over the phone and to use the app. No biggie, I have the app. I started to put my order in. Ordering from the app was a little confusing for me. I like it really simple. It's asking for blended fruit, things in the bottom, and toppings. I skip the blended portion because I don't want anything blended, I add the blueberries and strawberries as toppings, and I saw light agave. Ok, great! My orders is ready, but there isn't a place to put notes. I pay and call back.

I called and said hi, I'm sorry, I know you said to order on the app, in which I did. But I couldn't put any notes. I told her, I don't want my acai blended. The girl says what do you mean? I told her I don't want anything blended in my acai. I just want it plain. She replies back, "we can't do that." I replied back, "Yes, as a matter of fact, I was just in there, and they did it. " She says back, I'm the manager, and we are not supposed to do that. I'll honor it this one time, but we aren't allowed to do that. And she continues to say, acai is expensive and the owners don't want US to do that. I told her ok, thank you. At this point, I already paid for my Acai bowl, and I want it.

My first bowl was deliciously made! This bowl was halfway. I'll leave a picture so you can see it. I paid for a full bowl and received a half bowl.

I'm not sure if they have a sign that says acai has to be blended or cannot be plain, but if they don't, they need one.

I thought I found my new favorite Acai Bowl place. I was ripping and raving about it on Instagram. I posted a picture and video. I was about to give them 5 stars until yesterday. 😫🥺 I saddened.

Normally I like this place. I always order the same drink. The last two times it hasn't been as great. This time it was downright terrible. I ordered a coffee Kickstart with very little agave. I watched her make it. I watched her put three huge pumps of agave (in a small). She was reading the menu. She poured it in and it was 2/3 full. She again added more stuff to the blender. It is bright white instead of brownish. I tasted it and all I taste is sugary banana. I saw her add no banana. I asked her if she made the right drink. She said yes. I asked if she did light agave. She said what? Looked at the ticket and said oh yes. I said this doesn't taste right and she said oh "I'm sorry. That's how it is." I can say you just...

One worker was cleaning the entire time even 5 minutes after ordering our bowl, not allowing the other to complete the order. The guy who made our bowl was touching his phone and messing with his AirPods the ENTIRE time while wearing gloves. It defeats the purpose of wearing gloves if you’re going to spread the germs and bacteria from your personal devices into the food. Mind you he never changed gloves and kept randomly disappearing to the back mid order while the smoothie bowl melted. It took 15 minutes for us to get our bowl despite us being the only ones there with an order. Extremely disappointed with their service. Even after a tip they still had poor quality service.
