Wish I would have checked the reviews before I went, someone recommended me this place(come to find out they only ever order take out, never dine in) and when me and my family got there and waited at the front(place was dead besides 2 tables) when someone came to the front and asked me something, I donât know what they said the music was WAY to loud. We got seated and my son had to use the restroom, the woman asked what we wanted right as we got sat(didnât even open the menu yet) and I said give us a minute please we are waiting for my son in the bathroom. 45 seconds later she came back(he still wasnât back from the restroom) and she said âok what do you wantâ again I could barely hear because of the music. I said we will start with 4 waters and 2 Paradise Rum Punch. She scoffed and left the table like she was annoyed we didnât have our whole food order and drink order ready in 3 seconds of sitting down. She brought out, 4, BOTTLES OF WATER, nestle water bottles. I didnât think anything of it at first but then another family came in, got greeted, seated, and 4 ice waters with lemon within the matter of 2 minutes(they were Jamaican as well). The lady came a third time and was like âok what do you want nowâ annoyed that we havenât ordered yet. I went and got my son from the restroom and we left, then and there. I wish I would have got to try the food, but the service, music, and feeling of being unwanted in their establishment made it hard to power through. Ended up coming to my favorite restaurant in town just...
Read moreHonest review!!! Iâve been living in Vegas for two years now! Iâve been eating out everywhere trying to find some home cooking, like grandmas home cooking! This place is as close To it as possible! The oxtails is the best Iâve ever had!! (Donât tell my Jamaican grandmother) lol Iâm not a fan of the jerk chicken at all. The curry goat was good, no complaints. Curry chicken was decent. The beef patties were not the authentic taste that true Jamaicans look for. Seem more commercial But they are tasty. Letâs just say... for the rum cake, you will get your moneyâs worth! I felt tipsy after 2 bites!! Very potent! Not a bad thing at all! Just too strong for me. The cabbage is good. Rice was decent. Overall, this is my go to restaurant when we want to treat ourselves. Again, you must try to oxtails!
I donât want to say anything negative about to beautiful women running the place. Reminds me a lot of my family. I really felt at home. They were extremely nice to me. However, I would suggest hiring a niece or nephew. Someone in the family thatâs very personable to fun the cashier/ front office.
Just seems like a popular place that gets very busy. Especially with Uber eats/ DoorDash/ ect. Cancellations and what not. Itâs frustrating. I get it. But customers donât see that. They just want to come in ans feel as welcomed as I did.
Random: Windy City beefs is great city Chicago food! Cheap beer, great pizza puffs, yummy Italian beefs and polishes. Itâs in Henderson but worth the drive.
Famous Daveâs has some...
Read moreThis was one of the most inconvenient, disrespectful, trifling interactions Iâve had trying to patronize an establishment. I placed an online order for escovitche Fish. The order was confirmed for pickup at 11:30 am. I arrived to the restaurant at that time to pick up. There was no hostess or Cashier. So, the cook came from the back and advised me that they have no fish. I told her this shouldnât have been purchasable online if it wasnât in inventory and that I drive 20 miles to patronize their business. I do not eat chicken, pork or beef. So, a substitution was not possible. I asked why wasnât the order cancelled and refunded. She stated that the cashier didnât arrive until 1 pm. So, I left and went to Tasty Island where I should have gone in the first place. I called to confirm my refund was complete before contacting Amex to have them charge it back and the Cashier was extremely rude, belligerent and ignorant; telling me that I should have called to see if they had fish before ordering it. When I replied that most establishments donât allow the purchase of out of stock items and calling first isnât normal practice as a customer she retorted that since Iâm so smart why am I calling her and hung up in my face. Iâm part of a large West Indian demographic that they would have easily earned as loyal customers. However, after this experience we will never patronize this bootleg establishment and will also formalize a complaint with...
