I had a VERY DISAPPOINTING experience here today. I've shopped at Standard numerous times with a simply neutral experience; not great but not awful. I recently purchased a 5 gallon Cambro Beverage Dispenser a few days prior to my event. On the day of the event I opened the box to wash and fill the dispenser; the spout was totally leaking.. we determined the issue was it was missing the washers. Today I took it back to Standard, they tested the dispenser and determined the exact same issue - no washers were assembled. Now I get they didn't manufacture the dispenser; and Cambro is a respected company that should honor a return|exchange to a restaurant supply house. The issue I have is with Standard's policy! I was told to take the defective dispenser with me until they can reach out to Cambro to decide what should be done! I was given no time frame and definitely was not offered a replacement dispenser.. so I've paid nearly $200.00 for a defective product that Standard wouldn't exchange for a working one! I have more events coming up.. and though I paid for a dispenser - I don't have one! Plus I will have waste more time and gas to drive back there when and if they do get back to me! They have another Cambro in stock which they could have exchanged for me; leaving me a satisfied customer but nope.. they chose this route...

Well here... Standard Restaurant supply. It's got a lot of items for sale. The only drawback is if you bought something once... You can't guarantee that it'll be there in the future. :( I went looking for scales for work and they had a few... Probably about 6 months later...I go back and the scale that they had that I really liked, they did not have. They are willing to order you the items but there is no guarantee when it'll be in stock again. It could be 2 weeks... Or months. And when you need it now, that doesn't help. For consistent stock...2.5/5
Service is normally pretty good. But it's also a hit or miss. I would say 90%of the time I go there they are great and other 10% you can't find anyone or they are busy helping other customers. And since this place is HUGE... You are going to need help in finding anything....lol 4/5
Overall, there isn't much choice in finding another store that carries restaurant grade equipment. So pro and cons... They carry the stuff that you need but there is no guarantee that they'll have in 6 months again.
And just an FYI... They do not have A/C... They have a swamp cooler... So it gets...

This recent visit, 6 of the 8 items on my receipt did match the listed price and I was over charged. I took a picture of each item and the price tags and went to show the manager. First excuse was people misplace items in the wrong place. Told her I took pictures and she gave me a second excuse of inflation. The last excuse of being short staffed. The best thing for a manager to say is "I'm so sorry, I'll have my staff look into it. In the meantime let me assist you on your refund." That's all I was looking for. Now I'm questioning everything we've ever purchased from them and reporting to the BBB for misleading customers. Very angry. Pity because they were always pleasant in the past.
