Overall, this place is super cute. The people are very nice and the food was good and they have these wonderful murals painted all over the place..

But here are my two concerns : this place is Tahoe and nature themed, but they have no recycling, and they also have no gluten-free. It just seems strange to not offer healthy options, and to be damaging the environment if you are the "nature café". those two things were offputting. We took our beverage containers home to recycle them. I get excited to see a place like this because I think of it as a haven in a really toxic food system, (and hard to find anything healthy and conscious in Reno ) and I expected them to care about nature, but they obviously don't. It's just a style choice.

On the good side, even the decor outside was really cute. They are right on this pretty marsh area and they have those really awesome murals, continuing outside, and their holiday decorations were cute outside with the long sugar pinecones. The owner is extremely nice and awesome.

there is a ridiculously cute kids corner, with really high-quality, adorable toys, and more murals, and there was a little adorable Christmas tree. staff could be seen disinfecting the whole kids area at closing time on a regular day so that's great.

I will update this review next time if they make...

Just a quick review of the long awaited opening of Tahoe Natural Cafe in South Reno. As a resident of Damonte Ranch, it's been grueling watching the buildout, patiently waiting for the opening day. Finally it came! I popped in for a quick takeout for lunch and was greeted warmly as I gazed at the large menu. Very open and inviting first impression. I decided on the Tahoe Turkey, I'm a sucker for a green chile and avocado. Put them both on a sandwich and I couldn't say no. Within only a few minutes, the order was brought out to me and I left. Once home, I opened up the box right away and was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of toppings. I was a bit apprehensive about the volume of shredded carrots as I'm generally not a fan but they paired perfectly with everything else on the sandwich. I was also pleasantly surprised that the toasted bread held up. It's a short ride home but you do expect a bit of degradation in the box. Not with this sandwich though, it was as if I was eating it there. Looking forward to my next visit, thinking of trying out breakfast...

Absolutely amazing! I've been 3 times in as many days. Everything on the menu can be made gluten free! Make sure to specify if it's celiac or a preference, but they will do everything in their power to avoid cross contamination. The Tahoe Turkey is the best sandwich I've ever had - it has every color of the rainbow on it and tastes absolutely phenomenal! Their coffee is also great. The prices are unbeatable! I have been so shocked at the extremely high quality food with the more than reasonable price tag.

The atmosphere is unlike any other place in the area. It is completely accessible, plenty of space for any mobility device to easily navigate, open, airy, clean, and has an adorable kids corner. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, including shaded spaces outside. Definitely young adult, couple, older adults, and kid friendly. They've done a great job of setting this place up to accommodate single parties, large parties, and everyone in between.

This is such a needed addition to the Damonte area!! Staff are friendly, helpful, and...

I absolutely love supporting any business that focuses on natural, whole, organic foods, so I already felt great dining here. The Tahoe Turkey Club was excellent, whatever the yellow mustard dressing was the money maker for the sandwich. For the açaí bowl, I personally wish it had no added sugar—the nuts were candied, and I would have preferred just granola. My only real note is about the “classic burrito.” By definition, a burrito is a closed tortilla, so I’d suggest either closing it or renaming it to “open-faced burrito,” as that would change whether I’d order it again. Overall, I love businesses that strive for real, wholesome food. I just have a couple of notes to make it even better—and to avoid any unintentional false advertising regarding the burrito.

Not bad, but more a good convenient option than a destination. It fits in well with the 'Damonte aesthetic' of fresh ingredients in an otherwise generic environment. Staff are young and attractive, customers are older but check their look before leaving the house. Hard surfaces and straight lines make for a dining area that is modern-noisy, but not too much so. The Breakfast Special is filling but bland and the plain bagel with schmear and avocado is 50% cream cheese by weight. If you live in the area, it may become a regular stop, but I would bring some Tabasco.
