Jessica at la patronaz greeted us and seated us wherever we wanted. I asked for a mocktail that means a virgin margarita I had the mango with salt I asked her to make it with not as much syrup or sugar and she did and it was divine the carne asada of the broiled chicken was out of this world I had a couple of rolled tortillas with the rice and beans and pico de gallo it was fresh it was out of this world i've never had chicken that good and i'm a chef i'm a great cook i've had restaurants in LA, this was the best chicken I probably ever tasted and i'm not even that easy to please and i'm telling you I will be back i'm leaving full i'm leaving satisfied i'm leaving happy i'm like jolly i'm ridiculously full and I actually ordered another chicken asada grill chicken to go cuz i'm going to eat it when I get home. I just can't get enough I just can't tell you how wonderful of an experience it was. we will be back the whole villa anita family and of course wonder hussey when she gets back from australia we're going to have a big old party there trust me, we're going to have mariachis and we're going to just dance and we're going to have a fabulous time. This wonderful restaurant has the recipes the beg the word "authentic" to come out. There is a big difference between employees following a recipe vs family fixing you a plate of delicious well prepared plate. The hot sauce was secret recipe stuff and worth asking for! Unique and amazing. The crab enchiladas has real crab along with some amazing enchilada sauce! I swear they must have used a mocahete to hand grind the spices!! Anyway we just had appetizers here to keep our costs down and they were very good bordering on excellent.
