Wanted to try a different Village Pub tonight and decided to go to the newest located on W. Castus Ave. When you walk through the door you tend to get a feel of a very sterile and plain environment, kind of like a cross between miniature cafeteria and a break room. I think the newer locations have a lack of imagination and mostly focus on the Pub side of things and the restaurant is the ugly stepchild. The absence of windows at eye level will make you little "a lot " claustrophobic too. Onto the food part. I ordered the Steakhouse Burger w/ Steak Fries and my wife ordered a Pot Pie and when they brought it to the table, the burger š looked very nice but the fries just didn't and kinda spread out to give you an impression that you had more than what was actually there. The Pot Pie looked really nice as well but the puff pastry š„§ was extremely void of flavor. Back to facts about the taste overall and the winner was the Pot Pie and what I mean is that the filling was very well seasoned and it took away the dullness of the puff pastry, way too many peas but still very good. The Burger on the other hand was completely missing the mark on seasoning for the meat itself and in turn it took other fillings to make it manageable and the steak fries themselves had very little to no salt and still carried a frozen paper bag...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve always loved this place and often come here late at night after a long day at work when I donāt feel like cooking. Unfortunately, my recent experience has completely changed how I feel about this location.
Itās disappointing to say that I wonāt be returningānot because of the food or atmosphere, but because of the poor customer service I experienced. Itās clear that customer service is no longer a priority here, and certain employees donāt seem to value the guests that keep the business running.
Jordan, in particular, demonstrated some of the worst customer service Iāve encountered, and Andrew wasnāt far behind, claiming that āthe bar is the number one priority.ā I find that incredibly hard to understandāespecially in any service industry role where the customer should always come first.
Itās a shame to see a place I used to enjoy decline like this. Until thereās accountability and proper training in place, I wonāt be returning to this locationāor likely any Village...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time here as I relocated here and was looking for a chill spot to have dinner and a few cocktails. I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken (which was the best bar food Iāve had here) and 4 Markers Mark with Ginger Ale and spent about $40 on the bar game, and to my surprise I was charge for two out of the four drinks I had which was odd if Iām playing games. I may be a new resident of Vegas but Iāve been here a million times to know when you are gambling your drinks are free. I didnāt stop playing until I received my last drink. I was here from about 10:50 pm until 11:50pm. The first bartender was cool and very welcoming but the second bartender who came on the guy with the glasses and slick hair he was to busy talking to one patron that he clearly forgot about me. It was only 7 people in the bar including me, but the last two came in about 15 minutes or so ago. My overall...
