Finally a good Italian restaurant on the southwest side of Las Vegas that caters to the locals located in Southern Highlands. This Italian restaurant is a breath of fresh air. Value propositions and good food have finally returned. We had dinner there tonight and we're overwhelmed by the authentic Italian flavors orchestrated by the extremely talented chef Billy Demarco. The food was refreshingly authentic you could tell that some of these recipes in particular the potato gnocchi came from Grandma's recipe in Italy. The pasta is freshly made and the pizzas are about as authentic Italian of anything I've had in Las Vegas. The owners Michael and Jenna are kind and humble and we're very welcoming. Our server Tony was a star on the menu recommended several dishes that all hit the mark. To put this short it's very hard to find Value in Las Vegas now. I believe this restaurant encapsulates value and good quality Italian cuisine. A lot of other restaurants in Southern Highlands could take note on how a restaurant is to be run. It's like the old saying goes just because we live in a premier area of Las Vegas doesn't mean we need to be price gouged like it. There seems to be a monopoly of restaurants here in Southern Highlands and are egregiously overpriced and a lot of the locals that I know and have talked to don't go back to other Southern Highlands restaurants for this reason. It is our new favorite hotspot and we will be coming back over and over again. Compare the quality of the food to a near Italian Restaurant nearby "wink wink" and you'll see this is what it used to be before 2020. The menu speaks for itself $18 calamari where everywhere else in town it's mid 20s. At least someone seems to get the clue that people will discontinue to go out if they continue to gouge the customers. It appears Michael and Jenna understand this equation and I think it'll be successful. Kind of like what Echo and rig did for Summerlin Nudo Italian will do for Southern Highlands. It's such a breath of fresh air as a local that I felt compelled to write this review and the fact that the food was remarkable. Some of the food highlights are the mocktails especially one with orgeat syrup. The cocktails are crafted by a master mixologist I kid you not some of the best drinks I've had. The potato gnocchi and the Vodka Pipe Rigate was a favorite of mine and my wife. The Margarita Pizza and pepperoni were two of my favorites finished off with a remarkable dessert of Tiramisu and the best cheesecake I've ever had. Take note Las Vegas restauranteurs this is how you open a restaurant. I hope they hold to these prices because they are some of the lowest prices in town for Italian even lower than bootlegger and similar style restaurants. Value Ambiance service 10 out of 10. Now I don't have to drive to Summerlin or Eastern anymore for good Italian. Thank God Southern Highlands finally has a good restaurant. Just look at the menu and tell me where else are you going to get these kind of prices for good authentic...
Read moreNudo Italiano is a beautiful new addition to the local dining scene, tucked conveniently off Cactus Avenue with plenty of parking available. As we walked in, we were greeted by a warm and friendly hostess who seated us right away, even on a busy Saturday evening, we did have reservations, I recommend making it specially for the weekend.
The restaurant’s interior is stylish and inviting, a perfect blend of modern and cozy. Plush brown leather chairs, elegant booths, and striking star shaped ceiling lamps against a black painted ceiling create a chic, sultry atmosphere. The open kitchen showcases a gorgeous pizza oven, and the sleek bar adds to the restaurant’s vibrant charm. It was a glorious day, and with the large doors open to let in a gentle breeze, the ambiance felt simply perfect.
To start, we were treated to a complimentary appetizer, stuffed bell peppers and pecorino cheese, absolutely delicious. The menu is thoughtfully curated, not overly large but with a great variety of dishes and an appealing cocktail selection.
For drinks, we ordered The Godfather and a glass of Riesling. The Godfather, made with Johnnie Walker Black, amaretto, and chocolate bitters, was strong, smooth, and expertly balanced — one of the best I’ve had.
We started our meal with the focaccia bread, which was warm, soft, and delightfully crisp on the outside, a perfect portion for two. For our entrées, we chose the mezzi rigatoni (which the kitchen happily prepared with marinara sauce instead of the creamy version) and the bucatini with shrimp scampi. Both were outstanding. The marinara was rich and flavorful, while the bucatini was perfectly al dente, the shrimp tender and well seasoned, with just the right touch of spice.
Our server, Jenny, was wonderful… professional, charming, and genuinely attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed and added to the overall pleasant experience.
To finish, we shared the pistachio cake, which was light, fluffy, and not overly sweet, a perfect ending to a lovely meal.
We loved Nudo Italiano so much that we’re already planning to return with our family this weekend. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel at home while delivering an exceptional dining experience, a spot we’ll definitely be visiting...
Read moreWelcome Nudo to the Southern Highlands and LV! A Michael Morton restaurant has just opened, and the food is fantastic 👌 😋! For VIP night, we were treated to a variety of signature dishes: Clams al Forno, Pepperoni pizza, Fungi pizza, Pipe red Rigatoni, Mezzi Rigatoni, and to drink red wine or a delightful Sauvignon Blanc and the Ananas Ribes cocktail AND a delish Espressotini. They have a full bar and outdoor seating. Brunch and happy hour will be coming soon.
My faves were the Mezzi Rigatoni with Cacio e pepe, black pepper and pecorini cream, cooked al dente. this dish was so creamy and rich! 😍 AND try the meatballs!! Yummy!!
Second, and I didn't get a picture 😕 was the Funghi pizza!! The flavors of mushroom, roasted garlic, and arugula were all delightfully delish 😋
Third would be the Pipe Rigate made with Alla vodka sauce, prosciutto, onions, and tomatoes. SO fresh!
The pizzas are made in a pizza oven and have a nice thin crust with a delicious brown crust. Normally, I try to not eat the crust, but I did eat Chef DeMarco's crust!
Cocktails!! I tried the Espressotini made with Ketel One vodka, Evil Bean, and Suzette, and the Ananas Ribes with Ketel One vodka, Leejay Cassis, and an Old Fashioned.
They have both booth and table seating. This is a very enjoyable restaurant 😋 Will absolutely 💯 go again!! And kudos to the very friendly and attentive...
