Mood - KFC (Korean Fried Chicken)
Now everyone knows by now this is one of my top 10 loves. And goodness don't let it be that Snow flower Cheese Chicken.... Almost like that commercial back in the day "What would you do for a Klondike Bar" Js.... don't judge me lol ~ when I saw this was on the menu it was a def must to try it out.
Upon entering was greeted and gestured to sit at a table. We grabbed a menu and began to decide what the meal was going to be. At which time the server came by and gave us more menus to look at.
Now I'm going to be transparent in this review. I try to find the good in all situations and go for the benefit of the doubt. The drinks are not listed on the menu. So we inquired what they had, the server was obviously irritated that he had to tell us. Even pointed at the picture wall regarding the other drinks offered.
We opted for Peach Bombs, Watermelon Slush, Kimchi with Spam, Bulgogi,Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Beef Bibimbap, and of course that KFC - the Bulgogi was very flavorful
Interior is a decent size. There are several table and chair arrangements. Everything was very clean. Music was playing in the background
I can't recommend nor not. The service we received was not the same as the other patrons at all. Using benefit of the doubt. ( pick up what I'm throwing down on this ) Our order was brought out and it was very obvious that there was an issue, by the way it was put down on the table, the same as the issue of letting us know what beverages they offer. However at the end a gentleman came over and talked with us about the Watermelon Slush and the other food. He was very pleasant and didn't treat us the way the other server did. I honestly wish we would have had him to take care of our table. Pricing is reasonable.
The three stars is for the gentleman at the end and the Bulgogi. Or else it would have been one star. I really don't like giving bad reviews. But I don't want anyone to go to a restaurant I've been to and experience the treatment we did if, I wasn't honest about...

I rave about Soyo being consistent all these years and want to try the nearest to my house.. I frequently enjoy their delicious food and extensive menu, During our meal, I was particularly impressed by our server's exceptional service so much so that I engaged her in conversation praised her skills and demeanor. However after leaving the restaurant and while I was at the parking lot, this Korean guy in brown collared shirt wearing eyeglasses said You!!!! Pointing his finger at me .. I'm not talking to you as a guest here rather "Do not come here taking my staff my full time server she's been with us for 10 months. This was unprecedented experience especially coming from a manager. Such approach and rudeness are disappointing and as a result you have lost my patronage... I said I'll be calling the head office he said you don't have to, even the owner agrees to what and how I said these to you !!!!!! In fact I just called him now...I'm a manager and I would be very happy if my employees will have better opportunities somewhere.. we don't own them nor their future...I wonder how he treats Soyo employees ...... I went to Flamingo location 4 times the last two weeks with friends and relatives visiting. I've been your regular customer for 6 years in Rainbow location... never...
Read more5/27/24 edit: 2nd visit with a date, wait time was about an hour. We sat down 12:40 and food did not come out till 1:30. Restaurant needs to work out staffing and workflow logistics, and/or communicate wait times.
As for the food itself: quality wasn’t up to par. The jolmyeon wasn’t properly drained, so we got a soup instead of a sauce. one of the side dishes was spoiled (mung bean). Instant gag spit reaction🤮
Overall: I wouldn’t come here unless you’re willing to gamble an hour of your life and deal with bad food QC.
======== ========
Overall: I love their Jjolmyeon 쫄면. 5/5 it is a dish I will crave.
Jjolmyeon 쫄면: it’s actually kimchi 쫄면. Delicious. On the sweeter side, but properly balanced with acid (vinegar and extra ripe kimchi). Generous amount of kimchi mixed in, each bite is a crunchy amalgram of chewy noodle and tangy kimchi crunch meshed together sweet gochujang.
Kimchi: light crisp tangy - exactly how I like it (it’s not the fancier deep oyster umami type). No sweetness detected, perfect.
Service: could be better, but they’re understaffed and growing. Keep your expectations low. better, but they’re understaffed and growing. Keep your expectations low.
Will I come back here again? For the 쫄면 Jjolmyeon, absolutely yes. I...
