Winchell's Donut House — Restaurant in Nevada

I've been a Winchell's customer for nearly 50 years. I've never had a problem at any location until now. I stopped at the East Tropicana location in Las Vegas earlier this morning to get donuts and coffee. DO NOT GET YOUR DONUTS HERE! THEY ARE SERVING STALE AND OLD DONUTS!

First problem, the clerk didn't speak English and it took some effort to place my order. I asked for 2 devil's food donuts and one plain old fashioned. The clerk took the devil's food donuts out of the display case, and then went around the corner and got the plain old fashioned off a rack or something. I also got 2 glazed donuts for my wife. Second problem: I got home and discovered after biting into the plain old fashioned that it was stale! All dried out, even on the inside! Then, one of the devil's food donuts fell apart in my had when I took it out of the bag! The coffee didn't taste right either. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS...

I’ve gone to this place at least twice a month over the past 12 years and I’ve never been so disappointed as I am today. After asking on multiple occasions if they can do a special order of mini donuts for a wedding I was told by several employees they could do so. I go in place my order and pay ahead of time. I volunteered my phone number since they did not ask for it, in case something came up. When I sent my son to pick up my order 1 hour before my event he was told the order could not be fulfilled because the machine has been broken for a while. Not once did I get a call from them to let me know. The person “ in charge “ says they took down the wrong number and everyone there knew about the machine being down. So why in the hell do you proceed to take my order and money??? Beyond annoyed and...

My first visit was awesome. Freshest donuts I've had in I don't know how long, excellent!! 4 donuts, each very fresh. Service was wonderful. Nice to chat with and they got my order correct too, yay!! Next visit not so good. Slow service, yes they were busy, but only one gal taking orders. My turn, horrible selections. No coconut anything!! 😢 Had a hard time communicating got donuts wrong (had a whiney kid to contend with it was their donut that was wrong). And, now I have to double check donuts before I leave. We tossed 2 of the 4 donuts. Dry, old, maybe fresh from hours or more earlier. But not when I got them home. Much disappointment 😞. So, maybe I'll try here again in the morning. But I'm going to new place for the mid day, evening time, or after hours...
