Huddle House — Restaurant in New Albany

I love Memphis and was heading to my hometown which is Columbus Ms. My husband stated he was hungry so I suggested the huddle house. The atmosphere wasn't really pleasant it was really just quiet. Cady comes over and takes out order. My husband order some platter with and extra egg and bacon I ordered the turkey bacon ranch sandwich on sourdough bread. After about 15 min the food cones out my husband sausage under cooked toast super crispy bacon wasn't appealing eggs wasn't pretty at all He was looking crazy I was like you don't have to keep that He has a thing about sending food back you don't have to keep it we can leave but he kept so here comes my food looked good but was Soo slouchy so I cut my sandwich in half it was hard to cut so I removed the lettuce. So I bit it well the turkey was cold ok it ok but I picked the sandwich up it had a piece of heal burnt bread I was like the nerve of them so Cady the server ask is everything ok I ask her did she want the truth so I told her what the problem was and she apologized and asked did we wanna speak with the manager my husband like don't worry about it we in a hurry because we needed to get to Columbus and get back to Memphis but I didn't care how we gone pay almost 40$ for this. The staff is always great! Me and my husband eat there a lot and our favorite waitress is Brittany! The food is always great along with the service. We just left a few minutes ago and while we was eating a district manager was there holding a staff meeting at the table next to us. She was extremely loud and was talking 90 to nothing so I don’t know how anyone could take in the information. She spoke to the employees like they were children. I am a customer a I believe the staff is great and if there is a problem with the establishment then it is probably her. One of the things I heard her say was they needed to be getting people to do more Google reviews. I’m not sure how that’s the employees responsibility but here you go district manager! You should definitely be replaced and you should never hold a meeting like that in front of customers! You are the reason I’m only giving 4 stars and not 5! She also sounded like she was getting on to them for having the most discounts used over the other stores! Wth??? They send the dang things in the mail! We get them all the time and we use them! She was also saying they had to many senior discounts basically accusing the employees of lying about the discounts! I’m sorry but I really shouldn’t have been in there when she did that! Well I couldn't tell you if they are any good anymore because I couldn't place my order. I understand not wanting to take an order last minute when you're trying to close for the night. Especially if short staffed or working alone. That's why I didn't bother to try and order when I arrived in town at 9:38pm and they closed at 10pm. What irks me to no end was I had been trying to call to place an order since 830! I had a coupon for a decent price on food and with everything so expensive, I wanted to use it. So I couldn't order online. Not answering the phone for an hour and a half before closing time is ridiculous. And I called multiple times. Phone was never busy, just nobody answered. I live 20 min outside of town. I wanted to call it in and that way it would be ready once I arrived. I could have been gone by 9, plenty of time for you to close by 10. So I drove around the building at 9:40 (had to sit at the light) and only one person was inside, chairs up ready to close. I honestly didn't think they were even open from the road bc it was so dimly lit with zero cars in the parking lot. The only reason I drove around was the tv glare was reflecting in the window so I figured someone was there. So I took my business elsewhere.
