I cannot believe the audacity of the majority of the "customers" who leave reviews for this restaurant. Imagine having your judgement so clouded by xenophobia that you assume that workers checking to see what food needs to be refilled (the same food you would have complained about NOT being refilled fast enough) is instead them "following you" to "see what you put on your plate." Maybe the reason why those of you who leave such hateful comments have experienced "terrible service" is because your blatant racism shines through when you interact with the family who owns and operates this business. Not only is it extremely obvious from the tone in which you write your reviews, but I have witnessed this in person as well. The food here has so much more flavor than any other Chinese buffet I've visited in North Mississippi. Maybe your taste buds are overly influenced by having white staff members at other establishments? The people who operate this business have never been anything but kind to those of us who treat them like actual people instead of "them people we allowed to live here and open a business in the US"... and lastly - I cannot believe people from Mississippi, the "hospitality state", would complain about a family ran business's CHILDREN being in the store. The children are well-behaved, helpful, and a joy to experience. How something so wholesome could "annoy" anyone is beyond me. Maybe if you don't want to experience Chinese people or families, don't go to a family-owned Chinese restaurant, and if you're so paranoid by hearing people speak another language - just go to...
Read moreAs far as Chinese buffets go it's pretty basic. Small, family run BUFFET. All the regular/popular items, and they do serve crab legs... usually. Due to the cost of the crab legs currently, they are not offering crab legs on the buffet. But, they have a great fruit, dessert and ICE CREAM DIPPING STATION! (8)
THE RESTAURANT ITSELF IS VERY LOW KEY. NONDESCRIPT, BOOTHS AND TABLES, BUT NOTHING FANCY. Could use an update,/remodel, but who can afford that nowadays... especially since the cost of the food is Soo low... Now, as prices keep going up, they haven't raised their prices, so, you know, that comes outta their profits... Usually, small batches, keeps it hot and fresh, but that also means, you might have to wait for something... Or, JUST ask!
BEST PART FOR ME, IS THE WOMAN WHO WORKS THERE... THERE, WORKING VERY HARD, EVERY TIME WE'VE BEEN. What's EVEN BETTER, IS THAT SHE IS FRIENDLY. ATTENTIVE, ALWAYS A SMILE, AND SHE KNOWS WHAT IT MEANS TO PROVIDE SERVICE. IN STARK CONTRAST TO THE TYPICAL EMOTIONLESS, AMBIVALENCE OF MOST OF THE OTHER CHINESE RESTAURANTS, SHE IS POLITE, AND FRIENDLY.
WE RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, NOT BECAUSE ITS A JAPANESE STEAKHOUSE QUALITY FOOD, BUT BECAUSE ITS GOOD, AFFORDABLE, AND GREAT SERVICE. Others bussed tables, and they worked well together. $12/13? FOR THE BUFFET... YOU REALLY...
Read moreI was craving chinese and well it was the closest to the INT. We are traveling and decided to stop here. I should of read the reviews first that would of saved me alot. The only thing good was the steamed rice. The food was very cold in the buffet. I could only eat half and egg roll and some rice noodles which had a funny taste. I wanted to walk out but what kind of person would I of been. I asked for some money off my ticket and she said she could only take the drinks off. Of these people are chinese they should have the audacity to cook good chinese food. We let them live in the US, they open a restaurant...and they have shorty food. DO...
