Latham's Hamburger Inn — Restaurant in New Albany

Ok so this is a rare find and has some great food for what it is. They serve dough burgers here which is essentially a patty mixed with flour. The outside is super crispy and the inside is really soft.

Their onion rings and chicken tenders are great. The batter the coat them in is so good so it comes out really crispy and delicious.

The burgers are small and easy to eat. One thing I wish they would do with the burgers is maybe add a bit more flavor to the patty itself as it's pretty bland on it's own. But I know this recipe has been in this restaurant since like the 1920s or something, but just my opinion.

Would probably come back here if I was really craving a dough burger.

Really good little (very) burger joint. I went in and sat down at the bar and waited on the waitress to come down well it became apparent that she wasn't come down to wait on me so I went down to the cash register and place my order for a smash cheese burger and a fried egg sandwich with water to drink. I went back and sat at the bar waiting on my food, which didn't take too long. When the waitress dropped my food off she goes your water is in the cooler by the register like i should habe know that well i would've know if she had told me when i was up at the register ordering. The smash burger was really good but the fried egg sandwich stole the show it...

We were visiting family in New Albany, and when we started discussing lunch, they said, "Have you ever had a dough burger?". We had not, so they brought us to Latham's. It is a small place, but the atmosphere is almost like traveling back in time to when things were simpler and slower. The dough burger is a little on the small side, so I recommend the double burger if you are really hungry. The burger's texture is hard to describe, but to me, the burger was "chewy," but in a good way. AND MAKE SURE YOU BRING CASH. I would highly recommend this little burger joint, and I will certainly go again whenever we are...
