I brought my son here for a birthday dinner. Downright awful. Online advertised maple steak they were off the menu. My son chose salmon, they uniquely conceal its awfulness with sauce. Then serve overcooked asparagus and “roasted potatoes”, which are literally leftovers from their breakfast menu. My fish was thin, flat, and dry. I had to pay $4 extra for truffle fries, which is just shaking some cheese on regular fries. I don’t usually get mixed drinks in places like this because they’re giant glasses of juice. The beer was beyond overpriced. The server however was a lovely young lady who had just started that day, and I hope she applies somewhere else once she’s trained. It was Juneteenth, so many places were closed and Cultivator had an issue and couldn’t make hot food. I should’ve went to Fathoms, it’s always delicious and consistent. Better choices -Cultivator, Black Whale, Cork, Fathoms, Cafe Italia, Black Bass...

I had a hot dog with fries and a cup of hot tea. My bill was more than $17.00. $3.00 for the tea and $13.00 for the hot dog. I asked why the hot dog was $13.00 instead of $8.00 including 1 side like it said on the menu. I was told the truffle fries I had with the hot dog was $4.00 and the raw onion was $1.50. That's fine but she should have told me that the fries would cost $4.00 and the receipt was not itemized to reflect any up charges. My friend that was with me ordered the truffle fries as an appetizer and only paid $4.00 for an entire plate of fries and I paid the same for a small side. The last time we went I thought my bill didn't match the prices on the menu but didn't say anything. I won't go there again. That is not nice. The food is not bad but the service is. Both times i went the server forgot a part of my order. Last time she took so long to come back we had...

This was my second time at Quahog Republic. My first time I would've given this restaurant 4 to 5 stars but this time I would only give it 2 to 3 stars which is why I've landed at a 3-star rating. My first visit they had a lobster quesadilla that was to die for. Great flavor, a generous amount of lobster, and perfect cheesiness for a quesadilla.

On my return to the area for work I decided to go back to have the same meal, however they have removed the quesadilla from the menu. So I decided to try the Catch of the Day which was shark tacos. The tacos were okay, it came with pickled onions and I'm a fan of pickled onions so that made it better. But my food arrived cold, and it seems like there was only one server / bartender and one cook. So not only was the food cold but it took a long time to come out. I doubt I'll return for...

I was visiting the New Bedford Whaling Museum and this restaurant was recommended. I had a Lobster Quesedilla that was very good. I realized that the one waitress was taking care of the whole restaurant and I was happy to enjoy my time reading until my meal came. All meals that came out looked good. When I got my check, I was surprised by the amount. I was charged higher than what the menu stated for my meal. When I asked the waitress about the price, she only stated that it must have been an outdated menu and took no other action. I only wanted her to bring out the menu to confirm the price but that did not happen. I figured I was in New Bedford for the day to enjoy myself so I didn't make an issue but wanted to share my experience to make the public and management aware. Although my meal was good, I'm not sure if I would return.

I absolutely love this bar. True old school feel, awesome, comfortable, warm classic New England interior. My Bartender, Alexis was as equally warm and made me feel at home immediately. Excellent drink menu, beer selection, and the food was the star. So many great choices. I got some local super fresh Barnstable Harbor oysters to start and they were melt in your mouth amazing (2 for 1 at happy hour as well!!)... Got the Poor Man's Surf & Turf (1/4 lb delicious hot dog and a Stuffed Quahog) and it was exactly what I was hoping for. Glad I made the trip out and I will most DEFINITELY be back.
