I've been coming here every season since they opened, and I only have great things to say. Before I get into the food aspect, I must say Dylan and the team respectively represent a NB waterfront seafood shack. If you're missing an item, they go beyond with providing customers satisfaction.

Nobody is perfect in this fast-paced industry, and mistakes will happen, but it's the things they do to make it right.

I've NEVER wanted anything extra for a misplaced item, but Dylan has wonderful management skills and truly puts the customer first.

To the food.... I really LOVE their clam cakes and chowdah combo. ½ Dozen fried clam cakes with a bowl of their Award winning chowdah. They do dust the clam cakes lightly with a malt vinegar powder that adds a combo punch to delicate and well seasoned clam cakes. I dip the clam cakes into the chowdah and take a bite. It's sooooooo good.

I've also had their fisherman platter, and its enough for 2 people. Served with fries, cole slaw, tartar sauce, shrimp, whole belly clams, fish, and Real NB Scallops!!! It's filling and delicious.

Today, I was craving LOBSTAH and I ordered the traditional lobster roll. It was packed with lobster meat, with light mayo, chives, celery, and lemon. Served on a buttery brioche roll with crisp Lettuce. It hit the spot and perfectly satisfied my craving. It was GONE in 60 seconds......kinda like the movie.

The staff, back, and front of the house, all work together like a well-oiled machine. I hope they continue to excel in their excellence. Residents and tourists need to check out this spot.

BTW, a food items price doesn't matter when it's made with quality ingredients and cooked by great chefs. You get what you pay for, and I know it's ALWAYS worth it! Keep up the good work, everyone. I appreciate you all.

lm also an ex-chef with 13 plus years experience. I still cook but just...

What a great experience. I’m sure it helped that it was a beautiful day out and they have great, clean outdoor seating. Easy parking too.

First, everyone here is super friendly, and attentive from the moment you walk over. I had some questions so I could navigate a gluten allergy. Not going to lie, I was skeptical because a clam shack is unlikely to be gluten friendly. But guess what? You can totally make it work! The server offered lobster on a bed of arugula and it was delicious! Food was fresh and no over seasoned. The rest of the family had chowder and clam cakes and all was eaten gladly.

The prices are not cheap. But you get what you pay for. Several servers checked in with me after we were given our food. They also have various adult beverages available.

If you’re traveling in the area, this is a great spot to stop by. (There’s Acushnet Creamery in the same parking lot.) Whale’s Tail is family friendly and also great for seniors. It’s mobility friendly. I’m also willing to bet that this establishment is LGBTQ friendly. Just the vibe I got. All are welcome.

Stop by. I...

We have visited twice in two years. I cannot recall our last experience but I recall the manager was super friendly and welcoming. I do want to preface this by saying my partner and I conduct a "lobster roll crawl" each year, mostly on Cape Cod and Maine. We love diversity in dining and try all kinds of rolls. Our preference is sweet tender fresh lobster meat CT style or brown butter. My partner was dying to try Whale's Tail.

Service is impeccable. Everyone is very friendly. The setting, on the harbor is magical. There is plenty of seating. There is a need to clean tables more. We self served by cleaning our table, We ordered a "colossal" lobster roll (42.00 with tax). It was about 8 ounces of meat. We ordered it with brown butter. The standard rolls was buttered and toasted. The meat came in chunks. Sadly, the meat was incredibly chewy and not too flavorful. The hand cut fries were delicious. I am unsure but believe they are frozen. Our experience was delightful despite not enjoying our roll to the fullest. It's about the...

Life is short F......it up ! Family, Flavor, Friends. Great lil place in the docks. We started w the clam chowder- very savory and flavorful must get. Next fisherman's plater got the beer batter ver. Pretty standard make sure to ask for the spicy tangy sauce. Next was the carprise chicken sandwich then the lobster roll - they serve it cold or hot. We opted for cold. The roll was buttered and savory and has a good texture. The portion was lil small other wise 5🌟

The food was great. We ate a double patty burger with real crunchy fries. We loved it. However for the drinks are way too pricey. For one beer and 6oz mix drink was $30. That will not happen again. Our total bill was over $60. So yeah, $30 just on 2 drinks. So stop by for food and have soda or water. Many other nearby places to have drinks. Will I go back? absolutely for the food and atmosphere. On our next trip, I will add photos. Get out and enjoy.
