Food was good. The service was not so great. We had a large group of people, 12, I believe. Our server seemed so annoyed, disgusted, and aggravated that she had to wait on us. She talked very loud and aggressive, talked over us, and cut us off- so much that one person ended up not ordering food at all. We've never felt so uncomfortable and awkward ordering food at a restaurant. We left a decent tip but not nearly as much as we could have and a great deal more than we should have. I had an even worse experience here about a month and a half ago... I called in to order a small pizza around 10:30pm and was told it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. Their online info said they closed at 11pm. I started receiving calls to pick up my order around 10:45pm! I told the girl I was 7 minutes away. 5 minutes later, I was called back! My cousin's child had just died, and I was with my family that evening.. I picked this place to order food because I knew I had enough time to get there before they closed. If their closing time was too late for them to stay open, they shouldn't have taken the order. Right? I came to the backdoor because I've been told before this is the entrance to use for pickup orders. The girl had to unlock it for me then preceded to say in a very rude way while walking away from me that I should have used the front door! Well, you should've told me that during one of your calls! I had already planned to give a $50 tip just for them staying open til their normal closing time-- because I was made to feel like I'd done something wrong by ordering and picking up food during normal business hours, but her rudeness ruined it. We shouldn't have gone back last weekend but I like to give places a chance. One rude employee doesn't speak for the entire business, or it shouldn't. But, obviously, this place either turns a blind eye to how their customers are treated or they encourage it. Needless to say, we won't be going back...

Update: Ordered a pizza from here last week and it was pretty good. However yesterday I was in with a business associate, we both ordered a sandwich and they brought out the wrong sizes on both orders! (Sandwiches were a bit better than I previously remember). We each ordered a whole, both got a 1/2. Then I needed to make sure the waitress adjusted the bill accordingly. Waitress blamed it on the kitchen. How about checking your order before you bring it to the table??? Then only to add to the screwup, waitress brings me a diet soda when I ordered regular. Poor service from DGAS servers.

Older review : Surprisingly the food here, Italian type sandwiches in this case, is not that good. I have eaten there now twice in the past 2 weeks. 'Homemade' bread is not 'flavorful' as one would expect from an Italian eatery, and as it really should be. It is also too dense in my opinion. I'm originally from the northeast and quite familiar with exceptional italian food and good deli sandwiches. The Cheesesteak I had today was really unimpressive, pretty lousy to be exact. Guess they just don't know how to make them here! And the Italian sub I had here last trip was really nothing to speak of either. And don't ask for fries or onion rings with your sandwich, they have neither! And finally this place is just overpriced, especially for the quality of food that I got. Oh, and they don't know the difference between a Calzone and a Stromboli! Person who took my order described them as the same?? Ordered a Stromboli and got a Calzone, Which I will also add...

The first thing we noticed was the sanitation score...94. Normally we'd leave but the reviews we read were positive so we stayed...mistake. Our server, Brittany (?), was great but the food was not. Our meatball appetizer was decent. Big meatballs, decent flavor, served with ok garlic bread. I ordered the special "papa pasta plate" which is enough for 2 people. I ordered it with meat sauce meatballs and mushrooms. The sauce was not meaty at all. The mushrooms were canned and off to the side. The noodles were overcooked and mushy. The meatballs were tough and rubbery and not hot. Wife ordered side salad which was huge (literally the only positive about the food ๐Ÿ˜…) and a Stromboli. The Stromboli was cold in the middle so we sent it back. She eventually got another one as we were leaving. Kids got pizza and spaghetti. Pizza was very saucy and soggy so my son didn't eat much of it. Daughters pasta was like mine...overcooked. if youre an "Italian" restaurant, you have to know how to cook and serve pasta. Al dente and hot. Not mushy and warm. The bathrooms were decent and clean. There is plenty of seating and a bar if im not mistaken. The prices were not bad but not worth it when you get canned mushrooms, overcooked pasta and food thats served warm, not hot. Normally we'd give it another shot but so many negatives with the food including mushy noodles and canned mushrooms probably mean we won't be back. If you go, maybe try the subs or...

This place has gone downhill. They close at 11, so we arrived at 10:12... the hostess asked us at the door if we were there for takeout. When we said we were going to sit at the bar she seemed mad we were there. I get it, but we already knew what we wanted and were planning on being in and out. I also told her that there was a rather large dead roach by the front entrance that they might want to remove. The bartender was outside smoking when we arrived. So the bar was littered with dirty plate and glasses. 3 settings were left. Two "regulars" were at the bar and another group at the table in the corner. Once the bartender arrived, she asked if we were ordering to go. Never took our drink order. I ordered a salad with the olives and peppers on the side, bc I do not like them but my fiance does. The salad came loaded w them. I began the arduous task of removing them bc I was trying to not be a Karen. She watched me with a face like she smelled something rotten, but never asked if anything was wrong. After all that they brought the rest of our food to go at 10.35. We were asked and reiterated that we were eating there. Oh and Mr Roach stayed longer than we did. I guess he was welcome, but paying patrons are not.

First off service was incredibly slow. Placed my order and it took almost 30 minutes for my garlic bread appetizer to come out. After that it took an additional 20-25 minutes to get my pizza. They were not what I would consider busy for any place. Waitress asked if I wanted a refill when she brought my pizza as my drink was nearly empty, I asked for a refill which I never got. 15 minutes later my check came without a refill. Garlic bread with cheese was the highlight of the meal, my pizza had a smoky burnt taste to it that was not enjoyable. Unfortunately I had such high expectations here and I am not one to leave bad reviews, however, if a place is worthy of such a review that is unfortunately what they will get. Never again will I eat here when Iโ€™m in town for business or personal travel.
