The Pantry at Gruene Mansion Inn — Restaurant in New Braunfels

We went for breakfast on a Sunday. The place was busy but not crowded. I ordered my food and was asked done in or carry out? I said dine in and was given a wooden number for my table. We waited 45 minutes and other people that ordered after us got their food. We had asked several times about our specific order Avocado toast and Bacon and Egg taco. We were told by 2 different ladies that they were backed up in the kitchen and they were working on our avocado toast. The other order in our party came out and we still waited 15 more minutes. When we finally had enough my boyfriend went back to ask and they admitted they never heard me say avocado toast and they were never working on it. Needless to say we never got our breakfast and we got our money back. We left hungry and upset. We will never go back and we will tell everyone we know to avoid The Pantry in Gruene. We actually stayed at the Gruene Mansion Inn but didn't get a chance to dine here until our last morning. Of course like anywhere in Gruene the ambiance is impeccable. We ate outside even in late August and it was still lovely. The food choices are somewhat limited, but everything we had was delicious. I got a couple of breakfast tacos that were packed and delicious (chorizo in one, bacon in the other). Wife got the egg soufflé with bacon and it was absolutely astounding! Jiggly, soft, and delicious. Highly recommended!

CHARMING!!! Beautiful exterior gorgeous interior breakfast was perfect 🤤 Good portions large variety of options for drinks and a quaint / quiet dining hall. Very impressed definitely want to make plans to come again food service and atmosphere were all (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) If you're looking for a breakfast joint you should definitely stop by give this place a shot!
