The Happy Mixer Gluten Free Bakery — Restaurant in New Britain Township

This bakery is such a wonderful treat for all of us who have Celiac disease. Thank you so much for all of your delicious treats! My favorite items that I had were definitely any item that came with a crumb topping, yum! I loved the crumb topped donuts, it reminded me of an Entemann's donuts. I also really loved the Blueberry muffin which also came with that delicious crumb topping. The chocolate chip muffin was also a real winner, and there are several other muffin varieties. I don't personally like kiffles, but the girl said they were very popular. I also had a chocolate cookie and peanut butter sandwich which was heavenly. It was like a cross between a cookie and brownie, very soft. I really needed some milk to go with that. I live kinda nearby, but not too close, so I definitely took some treats for the road. They recommend you eat their baked good asap, so the items I had to save for later were a bit hardened. I had the everything bagel a day later. It was reaaally tough to cut, but once toasted was chewy and delicious. I also got a few chocolate chip cookies, which were OK. I only wish they had a little chair outside or something b/c I really wanted to eat something right away. I'll be back for more...

I can’t say enough about The Happy Mixer Gluten Free Bakery for my first visit yesterday on my birthday. I called ahead a couple of weeks ago and talked to Kate at the Chalfont location and I ordered my gf birthday cake…chocolate cake with peanut butter icing and peanut butter filling….decorated so pretty and absolutely delicious! I also got many other goodies to sample and they were all equally delicious! I made the hour long trip with my older daughter and best friend and it was definitely worth the drive as we don’t have anything like this around where we live. My best friend’s daughter eats gf as well, so she got a bunch of treats too. My daughter got treats as well even though she technically doesn’t need to eat gf but you can’t even tell that they are gf. We all loved everything! Great bakery, great cakes & treats, great selection, great prices and great service! We’ll definitely be back! We’re already looking forward to our next road trip...

I know the happy mixer is already a top tier GF bakery. If you’re reading this wondering, I promise you that you should just go. But! I wanted to shout out the woman I just spoke with because the people are what really make a business. I just placed an order over the phone for a cake and I had the most wonderful employee help me. She was so easy to discuss options with for the event and she gave me suggestions for everything I asked about. So kind and asked the right questions to make sure I was truly getting what I wanted. Her name was French and I asked her the spelling and immediately forgot when we hung up the phone so I will just call her my girl, Jay (in order to not butcher the spelling of such a beautiful name). I work in a customer service setting and she is the kind of person I would want working for me. Thank you for all of the help! Can’t wait to see the cake...
