Huey's Knight Club — Restaurant in New Brunswick

Used to frequent here all the time. Last night was the last time due to the burly big back heavyset bouncer in the front with a nasty attitude for no reason. Came in the bar clearly functioning just tipsy, and because I come all the time and assumed he would recognize me, I joked with the bouncer saying something along the lines of "im drunk and tired do I still have to take my id out of my purse". For some reason this set him off and he responded so nastily that it shocked me and my group. It's a shame because the other staff are nice and the drinks are pretty good. But having to deal with someone so negative the moment you step the buiding isnt worth it.

Hands down one of my favorite bars to go bar-hopping in the Rutgers New Brunswick area. It's got nice people, tasty drinks, a lot of fun activities for planned events (i.e. Halloween, Christmas, end of year, etc), lots of dancing, always new people to meet, and just an overall nice vibe. As someone who especially likes to sing, I specifically asked my former roommate what bar or club on campus has karaoke for my 21st birthday and he brought me to this place. I don't go drinking anymore since my life has been hectic after graduation, but I definitely made a lot of great memories here and would love to come back if I had the chance to. My friend, who is well within the legal age was not allowed into the bar on account that he displayed a fake ID. However, his ID was real and the bouncer Reggie did not let him in probably because of his ego. I am disappointed my friend was denied service and do not plan to come to Hueys again. I do not claim it was because of his ego without reason: due to many patrons entering (despite it being overcrowded) with “VIP cards” I kindly asked my friend come in along with me when the door opened to us proles.
