This place is dishonest! Went mid September and bought 2 $25 gift cards for work. Charged me $2 additional for using my credit card to pay. Ordered three specialty tacos (2 lengua and 1 Tripa) for $9 from the menu at the same visit. No problem with the food. Just went again yesterday, and ordered 3 orders of a combination of regular and specialty tacos (regular and specialty are both $9 for 3 tacos). Should be $27 plus tax, but the waitress charged me $34. I asked her why, and she said specialty tacos are $1 extra each. Whatever I saw on the menu is old price. Seriously? Both the paper menu and the big plastic menu sign had no indication of the price difference. I asked her to show me where in the menu does it say about the extra $1, and she just wrote down $9, $10, and $11 on the menu. Since she is holding my food + I don't speak Spanish + we were just standing there staring at each other, I accepted defeat and gave her my credit card. When I open the take out boxes, there were lettuce and tomatoes which I didn't get in my September visit, but the grilled green onions were missing. Will NEVER go back again. El Oaxaqueño 2 is much better, just not walking...
Read moreSeveral months ago my wife and I were shopping at Kim's Bike Shop, next door to the Taco house, and we decided to grab lunch there. Since that day, we have gone back nearly every weekend.
The food is authentic Mexican food and is very good. Neither my wife or I have yet to have something that we did not enjoy. My favorite is the tacos, especially the tacos al pastor. My wife LOVES the soup.
There are a lot Mexican places, taco places, taquiria in the area and this has been our favorite.
The staff is very friendly and quick, the restaurant is clean, and the prices are quite good. For my wife and I to each lunch and a beverage (or two) each, it is around $20 (often a little less).
In my honest opinion, the Taco House is much better taste-wise AND money wise compared to the more well known...
Read moreDelicious authentic food. Don't get me wrong, I still appreciate Applebee's nachos and all, but this was different and also very satisfying. Although the menu does not appear vegetarian-friendly, any item can be ordered without meat, and there are lots of beans instead, so it's still filling with lots of protein - we ordered veggie nachos and a veggie burrito. The server even asked if cheese and sour cream were ok - and she always had a smile even though all the tables were full and phone orders kept coming in - and I consider that good customer service. Tip: if you have cash, use it since it's a few percent less than credit cards. Definitely give this...
