Issa Vibe Café — Restaurant in New Buffalo

I love when I try a new place and it turns out as good as the pictures and reviews implied. This spot was great! It's a super cute cafe where you order at the counter and pick up your food and drinks. The cafe is decorated in a very laid back but classy way. They have some couches and comfortable chairs, but also regular tables. Very nice decor, clean, modern, and inviting. The service was great. The person to greet us was happy and smiled at us and took great care of us too. She offered up her recommendations and popular eats. We had a Chai Latte and the Cafe Con Miel Latte (had it iced one day and hot the other, Iced was just slightly better IMO). We also ordered two popular breakfast panini's, the Boujie Ham and Egg, and the Smokey Bacon and Egg. These things really slapped (as the kids are saying). The egg was fluffy, flavorful, and almost creamy. There was so much flavor in each bite. The panini was toasted to perfection so you had a nice mix of textures with the soft egg and crunchy bread. Add the cheeses and meats, and we were in heaven. We were only in New Buffalo for 2 nights but we managed to go twice. I highly recommend this place. My first time coming here, I enjoyed my panini and loved that they had vegan options, even though they forgot my side (bag of chips); it happens. I called today for pickup and was told there was currently a 10-15 min wait for orders there and 30 min for pickup; asked if that was okay. I said yes, then was bummed they didn’t have the ingredients to make the panini. So I ordered a different one. You have to give your card info over the phone, so I pulled over to do so. At 36 min after ordering my order I was told wouldn’t be ready for at least a half hr, the owner called me to tell me my already paid for order would be thrown out soon bc due to regulations, stating he is unable to keep hot food that long for pickup. I was told I had been running errands to kill time for mine to be ready, and he said he tells them to say orders need to be picked up within a half hr. That was not only not communicated, but the opposite was actually said. Then after I raced over to pick it up, I waited for a bit for someone to be able to give me my order that was sitting there. This spot is certainly a 10/10! Such a beautiful cafe with excellent staff, incredible food and drinks, and awesome atmosphere. When you walk in, you are met with a burst of color and design instantly making you happy and excited to be there. We loved it so much we decided to have my baby sprinkle there, which was absolutely beautiful!! I couldn’t have asked the owner Jeremy to do anything better. He exceeded our expectations with the set up, food, and drinks. All their food and treats are homemade and delicious! The coffees and teas are so unique and taste amazing (with homemade syrups)! Many people who attended my sprinkle said they couldn’t wait to come back. Jeremy was absolutely wonderful to work with. He brought idea and recommendations, and was so accommodating from start to finish. This is a MUST place to stop in to grab breakfast or lunch and a coffee/tea and I HIGHLY recommend using the space for an intimate gathering. They even offer kid friendly food and drinks.
