China One — Restaurant in New Garden Township

Ordered delivery from here once with an order of orange chicken and hunan chicken. So first of all, the delivery was wicked fast! From the time we ordered to when someone was at our door was less than 20 minutes! We are located on the opposite side of Kennett, so I was impressed!

The orange chicken was the best that I’ve had in this area, and you can’t beat the price of $10.95! Some “Asian table” restaurants around here will charge you $17 for an orange chicken that tastes like sweet ketchup sauce. China One actually has orange zest in the sauce and it tastes citrusy sweet!

The hunan chicken was delicious as well. I love the flavor of the Szechuan in the sauce!

I will definitely order here again, because they have great prices...

On a $151 order on doordash that had already included my tip, I asked for 5 pizza roll substitutes ($12.50 total if they were charging me FULL PRICE to replace regular egg rolls) I also asked for one tray pfr to be substituted with plain white rice- unsure why there’d be a charge for a less expensive item. I GOT CHARGED $30 (THIRTY EXTRA DOLLARS) after ordering for my substitutes. Thirty dollars for 5 pizza rolls and white rice- that doesn’t even add to $30 if I ordered it separate.

So not order. They either can’t do basic math, OR THEYRE INTENTIONALLY ROBBING PEOPLE WHO JUST WANT TO EXCHANGE THEIR EGG ROLL FOR PIZZA ROLL...

I've gotten take out here for ~20 yrs & never had an issue with the food. Now has new ownership it seems :( Almost NO chicken in their Chicken fried rice - twice now, egg rolls are soggy at the one end. ( The former owner's always put napkins in the bag to absorb the oil). No take out soy packets left!! I was told they would be delivered later today, really?? I was getting the food to eat right away...What Chinese restaurant that does mostly take out, runs out of soy sauce packets?? !! Won't be going back there unless I hear that it changes...
