This Jamaican food truck is the real deal! If you haven't tried this place, you are really missing out! BEST Jamaican food around! I get the medium stew chicken with rice & beans & cabbage. The chicken has a nice kick to it and is falling off the bone. Paired with the rice, just balances out the flavors perfectly! The beef and chicken pattys are also a favorite of mine! BEST AROUND! I've been coming here for 5 years and the food has always remained consistent. Tastes the same way it did when I first tried it! The portions are very nice sized and you definitely get your moneys worth! They offer other things on the menu including Jamaican beef and chicken pattys, curry chicken, jerk chicken and oxtail! And other items as well! The owner is SO NICE and you can tell they put love into their cooking! It shows, as no other place around even comes close to this when it comes to flavor and authenticity! Customer for life!

I found this truck back in 2021 and it's been one of my favorites since. I love taking a hike in East Rock Park and then finishing with a large portion of jerk chicken with rice, beans and cabbage. I get it with sauce on the chicken and oxtail gravy on the rice, everything is super flavorful and fragrant. Sanny is one of the nicest people and it's part of the reason I love supporting this truck. The sauce she makes is amazing and it's so good when you mix the spicy and sweet sauces together. The portions are huge, one large portion is about three meals for me. A real gem in CT!

I must say this was my first time. I read the reviews and thought maybe I could try it. I am so disappointed that I spent nearly $40 and it is just not palatable. I ordered oxtail, rice and peas and jerk chicken. Jerk chicken isn’t done on the grill with the actual jerk sauce (I should have quit when I heard this). The oxtail is hard and the rice omg tasted like white rice and peas, where is the coconut milk???? When I say I have tasted both and couldn’t continue, I mean it. As Jamaican, who is looking to capture bits of home, this is a poor representation.

I must say this was my first time. I read the reviews and thought maybe I could try it. I am so disappointed that I spent nearly $40 and it is just not palatable. The service was very good. I ordered an Oxtail meal and a member of my party ordered the Curried Chicken with plain rice. Unfortunately, there was ketchup in the oxtail which caused it to taste like "sweet and sour" or "barbecue". This is not authentic by Jamaican standards. I have also observed that many "Jamaican" eaterys no longer serve traditionally what is served with a Jamaican meal. They now serve "meat" and "rice" or "rice with peas". I had to pay extra for fried ripe plantains. No longer is that a standard part of a Jamaican entree. Otherwise, the meal was OK, I will give a 6.5...

I currently don’t live in CT but this is like my go to for Jamaican food. I found it by working at Napa auto parts and completely fell in love with like the lady who runs it and the people that work for her. They’re always super polite and very thorough and professional, and for anyone to write about review on this woman is absolutely ridiculous. This woman works very hard and puts love in her food And I taste it every single time. I buy her food so I’m glad that she opened up a business like this because she was meant to do this.
