August 25th may not mean much to most, but for myself and the other 7 or so people in the new ken kfc today will live on as the day of the kfc incident. As I walked in to pick up my online order I was greeted by a group of men sitting with drinks, they warned me, just leave, it's not worth it. But I had already paid so I had to stay. Upon going to the counter the lady had once customer who she put food in front of, he informed her that the food she placed there was not what he ordered. She didn't seem to care, and would not refund I'm, or didn't know know how. He left. On to the next man standing he was requesting a refund. The lady who claimed to be a manager, somehow instead of refunding his card charges it again. Now this man was angry but was in no way rude or causing a scene, but simply had asked for a refund, or proof the charges would be refunded. She had none to offer and started getting rude to him herself. The men sitting and waiting finally got some food (I've been there for 15 minutes by this point) and the cook who was both cooking, plating, and serving the food spilled about half of it on his way to the table, but at least he was trying. It was now to the point the man wanting the refund was trying to the get the manager to pay him any attention, as she stood behind the prep line and kinda hid from him. After he simply said her name and asked for help, didn't scream didn't use profanity, just said her name and said I need your help. She ignored him for about 10 minutes. At this point, bother the manager and the patron decided to call the police on each other. So about 5 minutes later in walk 3 new ken officers. They tried to deescalate the situation to little resolution. The manager told the police she had no phone number or resources to help the customer and he was being abusive and rude (all not true). By the end of this mess the officers leave and the manager slams 23 dollars on the table. When the man some how still politely states you charged me twice. So she does go and get him another 23 dollars and slams it even harder on the table and yells he needs to leave he is causing a scene. At this point I had started to leave as the show was over. Nope. Somehow both the patron and manager start yelling the other should be happy another employee was between them or they would beat the other. I didn't catch who started that. And as I walked out to my vehicle warning in coming customers of the wild shit that was inside, the curfuffle had now worked its way to the street was some dude acting as a door man (he didn't work there, he was just a man). And the other supervisor talking with the upset patron. It was truly lunch and a show. I hope you are reading this other humans who experienced the great New Ken KFC curfuffle of August 25th 2025, we should all get back together at this KFC next year. I didn't know how to rate this as a 1 star, or a 5 star. Them potato wedges...
Read moreI don't understand why people automatically assume this place is terrible without looking at the facts. The place is always packed because it's the newest joint in town, and that tires out the HUMAN BEINGS behind the counter. Sure it's they're job, but when you get the volume of customers the near-equivalent of the New Ken population, it's next to impossible to serve them quickly.
What's more, the reason behind the tiny parking lot is because the jerks at Avis next door refuse to sell them any of their land. There's just this little patch of grass between the end of the parking lot and the guard rail that could be used, and it's basically a pit. What do they need it for? Do they have buried treasure under there or something? They don't even use it! What a joke.
Bottom line though, this is a fast food chain. You're gonna have to go in expecting all the quirks and misnomers of fast food. The staff is overworked, so yeah, they're gonna make a lot of mistakes. All it takes is a little mental preparation and courtesy to the tired employees inside to make your experience at least...
Read moreI'd like to give them less, but I am fan of KFC. Just that one has the worst service. Which after they just reopened after how many years that should be excellent. Unfortunately it is not and I'm with everyone else you always have to check your bag here, because there is no doubt they will forget something. I went there today parking has one car in it. Both doors were open pulled up to the speaker and to my surprise it was 2 employee's sitting in it smoking. They get on the speaker and I look over and it was the 2 getting out of the car taking my order I had to repeat myself three times because they were too busy walking inside to pay attention. Then I order the pot pie and they proceed to tell me they have none made and it would be a 25 minute wait. I left. My thought was maybe you should have been inside and had something's premade or cooking instead of sitting in the car. But don't worry These are the people that want to make $15.00 an hour for working drive thru. and feel...
