I had the pleasure of stopping in this evening and let me tell you, it was great!
I happened to come in right at opening and met Alex. I told him it was my first time in the store and had a few questions. He answered all of my questions and then gave me his business card. He then told me all about PGX which is coming this fall and it’s supposed to be BIG. After talking for awhile, I took a look around and found a game I’d been seeking for a long time, as well as another game that caught my eye from watching a YouTube video.
After purchasing the two games, we just bs’d about games and the store until I saw it was getting late. I greatly enjoyed my time at the store and was happy to deal with someone who has a passion for games & likes to talk about them. Thanks again, Alex!
I recommend this store to anyone that has an interest in gaming, be it retro or modern. You may just come across something that you’ve been looking for, as I did. I’ll definitely be back this...
Read moreI was told to write from one of the employees in the store that "this place is terrible but the people are nice," but I have to disagree with that statement (I'm just writing that so that he knows it's me).
Despite only being in there for about 15 minutes, it made a monumental difference in my day. Everyone there was extremely kind to me and willing to answer all of my questions. It's also the safest that both myself and my best friend have ever felt as women in a gaming store.

My friends were really struggling to get me out of the house because of how upset I was leading up to today, and we saw that this place had good reviews, so I decided to give it a try since I'm a huge nerd. I'm so glad that I did, because the kindness I experienced from everyone there made me feel like it was worthwhile to visit a new place on a really hard day.
I'll definitely be back to check out their...
Read moreAlex and everyone at Retrograde are genuine down to earth great human beings.
The shop is obviously amazing. Lots of great retro games and other retro items at very fair prices. Anyone looking to scratch that nostalgia itch or rebuild their old game collection will find something they like at Retrograde.
What sets Alex and company apart is they are just good honest nice people. Always willing to chat about stuff and answer any questions you have.
This is what separates them from other larger/corporate retro places. They aren't a faceless corporation and they stand behind everything they sell.
Highly recommend stopping in if you are anywhere near the Monroeville or greater Pittsburgh area. You won't be disappointed and even if you don't find something you want (unlikely) you will get to chat about games and other stuff with like minded people.
This is the type of small/local business that needs and...
