Dollar General — Local services in New Kensington

Fourth of July fireworks families coming to New kensington, parked w several other family's on edge of parking lot plenty of space for customers, store almost closed not a lot shoppers! If the general had been present I gladly would have spent a lot more than a dollar, but alas out comes a young PFC female store manager who informed everyone they had to leave, did not even ask if they were patrons, explained that I was handicapped and could not walk long distances and needed to sit quite frequently, not to mention the heat even at 2100 hrs. No everyone had to leave and I believe she used against company policy a local street person who was not security or employed by the general as muscle, everyone one moved five or six family's with kids now disappointed try to find New spot to park what happens ten minutes later New people pull in, nothing more was said. General maybe PFC needs to be recycled to a training platoon to learn empathy and understanding, or better solution send her to OCS shake and bake ninety day wonder pin on some shiny butter bars🤣 now we have an officer and gentlewoman, officers understand how to put money in the register without disappointing and upsetting kids and parents! Until she graduates shop at family dollar better selection, better prices, better attitude two convient locations and if you see the "general" salute w respect and explain why you are not spending your money in...

The cashier who waited on me did not greet me or speak to me. He charged me for 6 of an item when I only purchased 5 of them. He immediately left the register as as soon as he completed ringing up my purchases without speaking a word to me. He left the bags with my purchases way over on his side of the counter instead of pushing them towards my side and I had to reach way under the plexiglass to get the bags. I did not discover the overcharge until I got home and looked at my receipt. I figured at that point it was my word against his and I wouldn't get my money back anyway. I shopped at that dollar store frequently since it opened but won't be going there again, at least not until they replace that guy or he learns some basic manners and...

Staff was friendly and helpful. Store itself was confusing and cluttered.. Checkout process was quick. They didn't have some of the things I usually get from there that I needed like original Dial soap and Old Spice Krakengard deodorant, but the things they did have that i needed were well priced...
