Bloser Mansion — Restaurant in New Kensington

Definitely worth a drive to come here! The food, service and atmosphere all get high marks. I travel a lot so I get to eat at restaurants all over the world and they had the best spinach I ever ate! Everything we ordered was delicious. This place is a true gem. The service was not only prompt on a busy Saturday night but everyone was very personable. The place exuded charm in a way only possible from painstakingly converting an old mansion into restaurant...it felt inviting and elegant all at the same time. It as the first time we were there but they made us feel like regulars who had been coming there for years.

I question if reviewer who said the prices were high ever leaves New Ken?! The prices were about 40% less than what you get in and around the city for often worse food, service and ambience. Yes it's not Applebees - 2 meals for $20 but its also not frozen, bland food mass produced by a corporation. If that's your thing great but don't unjustly criticize an outstanding apple for not being an orange....rant over!

Had a great lunch there. Was the best salmon BLT I've had in a really long time!

I planned to go back but since my first visit the kitchen seems to be in a constant state of uproar. The head chef has been swapped out 3 times in less than a year. Lunch was cut and I'm not sure if they ever brought it back. It's a lot of 'will they - won't they' that makes it hard to incorporate into one's life.

They are often hiring but when someone on Facebook asked about wages the response was that they didn't know/didn't have that information. How can you post a job opening and not know what you'll pay?

The interior is beautiful and the service was kind and thoughtful.

Unfortunately Bloser Mansion has decided to personally fund the police from company profits. A percentage of dinner sales is going directly to the police department. (This might not even be legal, as it can create a conflict of interest if a crime were committed on the Mansion premises.)

It's really unfortunate because we thought we'd found a gem. Maybe it was a trick...

Tried planning a wedding there. I've never experienced such unprofessional, disrepectful personnel in my entire life. No communication amongst staff. Had one of the planners literally swearing & screaming over there in staff communication issues. Then they tried to triple the cost two weeks out from wedding. I'd recommend McDonald's before ever recommending this unprofessional establishment.

Your reply is all lies. Your Chef was texting constantly w/ us. Actually at the time one of your staff members was cussing & berating my coordinator. Just remember the money you lost, nit just this day but all the family & friends that will never step foot in your place after that...
