If you are looking for a local that gathers central american food, THIS IS YOUR PLACE. The detail and attention they pay to the ingredients they use is amazing. This really is a good restaurant with true honduran, salvadoran and guatemalan food. Try the baleadas as well as the pupusas (if you are into spicy food ask for the jalapeño ones) and if you are venturous, ask for the garlic pupusa (it's off the menu but they do it if you ask for it). The servers are attentive and they offered Kolashampan (a salvadoran soft drink that will bring a tear to your eye if you grew up in El Salvador). Next time I visit Connecticut I assure you I will be back!

*****FAMILY OWNED******* YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED I have the pleasure in saying that I was blessed with their papusas and I'm not mad I walked into this place. The bakery items looked on point and delicious. The menu was fully thought out for the whole family to enjoy. I thank you guys so very much for your time and energy and I will be back again and I will find a way to bless you guys back at Mi Guatemala. If your in New London and happen to find yourself on Truman St.... please feel free to stop in and try them out and bring back home some pastries and food for your loved ones. I PROMISE YOU WILL COME BACK DUE TO YOUR SATISFACTION.

The food was delicious and full of authentic Guatemalan flavor! The pupusas with sauerkraut were especially tasty, and everything tasted homemade. We had chicken soup, beef soup , steak tacos. It was delicious. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt cozy , simple and family-oriented. The prices were very reasonable.I’ll definitely come back to try more dishes — a great place for anyone craving real Guatemalan comfort food! 🇬🇹

I wanted 25 Pupusas for a Baby Shower; I wanted them in honor of my daughter-in-law's mother who had passed and was known for her wonderful Pupusas. I googled who made them in the local area; I found Mi Guatemala and decided to give them a try. I dealt directly with Alfredo, the owner, and it was a positive experience from beginning to end. My order was ready right on time with all the fixings and had been cooked fresh and packaged nicely for me to transport to the shower - my car smelled wonderful. They were a big hit and my daughter-in-law finished the rest of them at home. I would highly recommend Alfredo and his restaurant. Once you step inside his place, you feel and see the effort and love he puts into his restaurant and the food he and his staff make! Thank...
