We came on a Sunday evening by for dinner. It was only 2 of us and it was our first time. We put the GPS and although it said we arrived we were confused. There is no sign at all. The windows are tinted and covered with curtains so you would t know you really arrived. When we asked why they have no sign the answer was they like it that way and will not have a sign. They share the parking lot with Jasmine Thai.
When we walked in I have to say the decor is gorgeous. I love the boutique look to it and beautiful bar with black background. The hallway to bathrooms is beautiful including the bathroom. There were 2 bartenders. One of them came to our table to take our order. Tables are low coffe table styles with velvet pink accent chairs. On the other side by the stage they had some regular wood high tops as well.
The ceiling was highly black with low dimmed yellow lights. I have to say, it was very hard to read the menu and had to use my phone flashlight. Other than that it looked nice. The place was feeezing. There were man at the bar with their coats on. I took mine off but had to put it back. It was the one thing I definitely didn’t like about this place. If I return it will be in the summer.
Now let’s talk food. The food looked great and tasted very good. I love their entire menu. It was tough to decide. We tried the spring rolls; tuna tacos and Shrimp Himmapan. For dessert we had the Pistachios ricotta cake. The description given by the waitress was not correct but it was good. I would call this a cake. It was more like a cheesecake type dessert. But flavor wise was great.
We will come back with friends once the weather is better. Don’t want to risk being so cold...
Read moreTuskers is truly a hidden gem. If you didn’t know about it, you’d easily pass by without a second thought. They do not have a sign out front and the building has tinted windows. But once you step inside, you’re greeted with an intimate, lounge-like atmosphere perfect for a cozy date night or a low-key evening with friends.
The vibe is sophisticated but laid-back. The dim lighting, music, and plush seating make it a spot where you can easily unwind and enjoy a nice evening out.
I started with an Old Fashioned, and could tell it was made with quality ingredients and care.
The food was just as impressive. The crab dumplings, which I regrettably forgot to snap a photo of, were light and flavorful. For the entrees, we had the surf and turf sushi roll, which had shrimp inside and thinly-sliced steak on top with a slight kick of spice. This was recommended by the bartender. We also got a cheeseburger and fries. The burger was average and the fries were crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned.
All in all, Tuskers is a spot I’d definitely return to and make sure everyone knows about. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a place to enjoy quality cocktails, well-plated food, and a chill,...
Read moreFirst time tonight we tried Tuskers. This beautiful restaurant is beyond amazing. The food is top notch, the way they prepare and present your plate is top notch! The food flavoring is perfection! The portions are kind but not heavy. You want to dig in but also take your time to enjoy every bite. The staff are very professional and so kind. The atmosphere is cozy, the temperature was perfect inside for a chilly evening and it was peaceful, even though it was a full house. The world did not seem to exist once ypu step inside. The lighting is exquisite and a band was playing but the music wasn't obnoxiously loud. We enjoyed our time and will return again and again. I think they should ( just my opinion) put lounge chairs where the high tops are). But if you're just going for a cocktail then they're good. But the table tops are small and that is probably because the place isn't large but you have enough room still. I was glad we were able to sit in the lounge chairs though. Still 5 stars! Thank you for...
