McDonald's — Restaurant in New Market

Order taker who was 1st window, was nice enough but hard to understand at times, but we got our order in. The 2nd window was as pleasant but not very generous in asking if there was anything else or more, just minimal effort, mmmkay. The food itself, ordered medium sized fries and got a half empty fries sleeve, I thought about complaining but didn't want to push my luck, just accept that this is the best it's gonna get these days. Finished my meal in the car, then went into the store to wash my hands before heading along on our planned trip. Gasp! That was a mistake. The walkways to every doorway are absolutely coated in layers upon layers of grease, dirty, filthy grease. I mean, seriously, if the exterior is any representation of what the interior looks like, eeegad! Is it too much to just power wash the place every few months? Seriously, clean up your store. Walked in and got a nose full of what smelled of body oder, it coulda been one of the people in the lobby, but still not what one would care to be blasted with upon entering a restaurant. Got to the bathroom. I could do a segment of wtfs on the amount of flies in that enclosed room, but flies, eewww, we all know why they hang out in bathrooms, but there are preventive actions available. So to wrap this up, the service was as to be expected. The exterior was ghastly and truly made me regret having just eaten what was handed to me from within. The interior was again, bare minimum of expected standards. The bathrooms, really, just clean them and do something about the flies in there. What I really want to stress about this place is it's over all lack of cleanliness in the public access spaces. If that's what's presented to the public, what does the hidden working areas look like? Would I recommend this place, only if you're truly hangry and just can't make it any farther, only! Will I recommend it? Now? No. I will try to get back within a few months and see if anything has been cleaned up or just left to get nastier and follow up on...

I'll start positive. The food was pretty fast and was hot. It met flavour expectations of a standard McDonalds.

The people were a class apart though. I understand that it's a slightly better than minimum wage job, they may have been busy prior etc etc. All to say, my bar for service is pretty low. To say I would have gotten more personality from an AI controlled robot is not hyperbole. I arrived, gave a clear order, greeted all staff with no acknowledgement. The food dispenser individual had zero expression on her face at any time. Not boredom, not anger, not joy, not hatred. It was a blank slate, a vacuous hole of expression; were it a color it would be the beigest of beige. After recieving some food she closed the window and walked off. When she came back and stared at me because I hadn't drivenoff, I told her it was because I was waiting on all the fries. She closed the window while I talked.

She never talked. When I asked for condiments for the three 10 pieces, one 6 piece and one 4 piece nuggets; she gave me one BBQ pack and 3 ketchups. She gave me a few more more when I offered that it might not be enough for 5 meals. I gave a pleasant though forced goodbye as she walked away with no expression.

EVERY. SINGLE. TIME we order here they mess something up. One time I ordered a McChicken, got home and it literally only had 1 bun! Today i ordered 2 mcdoubles, went in to get sauce because I forgot to ask for it, the gentleman next to me had placed an order for 2 plain mcdoubles with nothing on them and got 2 mcdoubles with everything on it. got back out to my car and checked my food only to realize that they gave me his order, 2 plain ass mcdoubles with nothing on them so I had to go back in a second time to tell them my order was messed up. then I came back and got a 10 piece on the app, asked for hot mustard and they gave me honey instead! I always ask for extra onion and pickle on my mcdoubles and they usually never put extra. I understand it's not an easy job and it can be very grueling, but people are paying for their food to be right. and if I'm paying $5 for a McChicken or a mcdouble, I expect my McChicken to have both buns and my mcdoubles to be right!
