Ok I've just had one of the most delicious, tasty, and juicy burgers on the planet!!! I got the "Dirty Burger" which is a burger topped with roast beef debris gravy. I thought that it would be a bit oozy gooey and messy BUT it wasn't. The debris gravy added a whole other dimension of beef flavor goodness to the entire experience that just kicked this burger up to amazing flavor heights. The burger meat itself was outstanding and bursting with flavor with obvious tasty chunks of onion in the meat. This is one of my all time favorite burgers hands down!!! The only downsides were they sliced my burger in half (and I hate it when places do that) and the bun could use some improvement.

With the roast beef debris being so good on the burger you can probably guess that it is equally fantastic on a po boy and it doesn't disappoint as they really do a fantastic roast beef po boy here.

My main "beef" with this place is that they only offer their pizza at night and not their other delicious options. The pizza looks fantastic and I will try it at some point but I'm still addicted to their beefy goodness contained within their Dirty Burger and roast beef po boy so I get sad when I can't get it at night.

They have lots of other sandwich and po boy options (and maybe some other stuff I'm not able to focus on as I'm still in a burger swoon) so I look forward to sampling other choices here soon!!!

My video review of Café Navarre is...

Absolutely amazing.

We were a party of 5 including a wheelchair and a pup in a stroller! Needless to say there was more than enough room on the air beautiful outdoor dining. It was an amazing space with equally amazing people. Other diners were very nice and followed the NOLA way of being nice and put waitress? Amazing. A smile from ear to ear, engaging with us and so quick to fill our needs. She deserved every cent of the large tip we left.

Speaking of the food and drinks? Absolutely amazing. As a native New Orleanian and by traveling with an older party, we know good food. And this was it. The Naverre special is a lot of food but every bit delicious. The Vicksburg omelettes? Amazing. The potatoes, grits and biscuits are the absolute best side dishes. And the sandwiches, we tried a Cuban, 5 stars from a woman who works 25 years in the culinary industry. The food came out so quickly and I fear we had a moment of "Wow this is so good let's all eat and talk I'm about 3 minutes!" Delicious delicious with not a bit of salt or pepper or anything needed

Overall an amazing experience. Truly truly recommend for tourists and locals. I was very happy to take my family here as a later Mother's Day present but I think I'll be stopping by with the pup for breakfast or...

Rode a jump bike from the Bywater down to the bottom tip of City Park (the most northwestern point you can drop a jump bike off without penalty)

Came across this place while checking for food within walking distance.(12min West)

Sat down sweating, The waitress, Celeste? Definitely saw that I needed something to drink and brought a fresh brewed glass of unsweetened iced tea ASAP. I looked over the menu seems pretty good, I went with the avocado and shrimp salad (13.99) and the side of cheese fries with gravy (5.99? Felt fatboy)

The second I finished this iced tea she was already outside with another one for me. Amazing. food was good I didn't get a stomach ache after even though I had some heavy fry action. Some things in the dishes felt a little salty at times but not the worst The grated cheese in the salad was good stuff

Also I appreciate the shrimp is clean in the salad, I don't know why dirty shrimp is a thing anywhere but I've eaten all over the city and definitely appreciate this...

Cafe Navarre is one of the last few remaining old school New Orleans neighborhood restaurants. The dining room is not fancy, clean enough, and pretty tight but comfortable. They don’t have a lot of classic New Orleans dishes, but a few favorites remain, like the roast beef poboy. It came on a toasted bun, the bread was solid. It wasn’t really a juicy beef, but it wasn’t dry either. It was kind of unusual, but very tasty. I asked for mayo, but somehow it came without it. No problem. I got a better taste of the beef. There was no wait when we got there at noon on a Sunday, but while we were there some people had a little wait. There were tables outside but it was so hot I can’t imagine that would have been pleasant.

I’ve been wanting to dine at Cafe Navarre for a really long time and finally got the chance on a weekday morning. It’s street parking only but I found a park easily. I imagine it would have been more of a challenge on the weekend. When we entered, we were able to sit wherever we wanted and chose a table in the elevated section of the restaurant. The biscuit was sliced open, buttered, grilled and most importantly, it was on point! I wasn’t a fan of the grits but the other guest loved them. The omelet was decent, maybe slightly overcooked, but had good flavor. I’m definitely glad that I tried this place, but think there are better options around.
