Capulet — Restaurant in New Orleans

Capulet is everything and more when it comes to a wedding venue! They were the third venue we toured with and third times the charm really rung true here. We loved the versatility of the space and especially liked that we could do the whole day in one place. In my opinion the aesthetics of the venue really speak for itself. It's the perfect blank slate to make your wedding dreams become reality. The neighborhood gave off the perfect New Orleans vibe and we loved that we were able to have our wedding weekend in such a special place! We did our ceremony on the rooftop that has the must stunning views and did the reception downstairs. The whole venue was very spacious and we had plenty of room for our 120 guests + the band on the dance floor. What you don't see from the pictures are the two people behind it. Working with Steve and Chris was one of the easiest parts of our wedding planning process. Steve was so incredibly kind, answered our questions in a timely manner, and helped us stay organized throughout the process. Chris was such a joy to work with, he hand crafted our menu for the night and made sure to include our favorites with a creative twist from the chef. We got so many compliments on the food (can’t recommend the beignet’s enough!) and the venue! Steve, along with my planner, really made sure our day ran smoothly! Can’t say enough about Capulet, Steve, and Chris!! We were looking to New Orleans for a destination wedding in 2020, and very quickly Capulet caught our eye. Beautiful venue with such a great feel to the space, as well as having a rooftop for ceremonies that just shines – sunsets, views of the city, gorgeous clock tower, you name it. Steve was incredibly welcoming from the start, and that drew us in to Capulet’s charm. As it is a restaurant by day as well, they offered catering services, and after one phone call with Chris, we were hooked. His excitement to explore different foods, ones that would leave guests impressed and break the mold of standard “beef, chicken, fish” menu selections, impressed us so much that stopped looking for any other food options – we were all in! We were especially thrilled that Chris wanted to include foods that were emblematic of New Orleans, without trying to put out a menu that would seem touristy. Safe to say, all of our guests raved about the menu!! Chris and team provided appetizers like crab beignets, fried green chiles, duck fat patatas bravas, and main courses of pork belly and peach mostarda, and a shrimp and grits bar! The whole Capulet team was wonderful – everyone was incredibly welcoming, flexible, and did everything to make our night truly memorable. We had the best experience getting married at Capulet!! First of all, Capulet is gorgeous. The exposed brick, the high ceilings, the roof deck views. Second of all, Capulet cares so much about their couples and the day that they want. We visited so many venues in New Orleans and no other place made us feel so special, singular, and heard. Steve and Chris listened to what we envisioned and helped make it happen every step of the way. We never felt like we had to follow a template or choose from a pre-determined list. Third of all, Y’ALL. THE FOOD. Chef Chris came up with a menu that had EVERYTHING we wanted and elevated it to a new delicious level. Everyone RAVED about the dinner and said it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. Fourth of all, the people at Capulet. From Steve and Chris to every single staff person, they took care of us and made sure we had a great time. We (the brides), our wedding party, and all our guests felt truly loved.
