The Tale of Drip(ping) Coffee: During a recent family outing, we decided to stop by this charming café for a delightful cup of coffee and some snacks. Situated in a lovely location, the café boasted a serene ambiance, and the staff welcomed us with warmth and courtesy. They were incredibly helpful in guiding us through our snack choices, which we thoroughly enjoyed alongside our flavorful and aromatic coffee. However, there was a minor hiccup that caught me by surprise. As a right-handed individual, I only noticed halfway through my coffee that the cup was chipped quite noticeably, causing the coffee to slowly leak out. It was a comical moment when I finally realized it after switching hands. While this small incident brought about a moment of laughter, I couldn't help but think it might be worth a gentle reminder for the café owners to inspect their tableware. Everything else about our experience was wonderful, and I look forward to returning soon. Despite what happened, I still give a 5* and would not hesitate to go back to this restaurant.

Today I visited Chateau Cafe located at 139 Allen Toussaint Blvd in New Orleans, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The service was fast and excellent, with the staff being incredibly friendly and attentive. My cafe latte was perfect, just the right blend of “rich” and smooth flavors. The cafe itself was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. One of the highlights of my visit was the extensive menu. There is a lot to choose from, whether you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast, a light lunch, or just a quick snack. From omelets and pancakes to sandwiches and salads, there is something for everyone. Overall, Chateau Cafe is a fantastic spot for a meal or a coffee break. I highly recommend it for its great service, delicious coffee, and diverse menu options.

do not i repeat do not order the bbq shrimp wrap, they do not put bbq sauce in the wrap and if you return to ask for bbq you get told its a dollar and even after you tell you order a bbq shrimp wrap and it came with no bbq you get told its in the wrap , clearly if it was in the wrap i wouldnt be asking for it , then on top that they want to charge you a dollar for sauce even tho it was a mistake they made!

Before Katrina, I used to frequent Chateau's Lakeview restaurant often. Their breakfast and dinner menus have many options for picky eaters like myself and allow substitutions for no cost.

But my past visits lately have been far below average. First, I ordered a california melt to pick up, and the bread was absolutely CHARRED, it was BLACK. The same could be said for my son's chicken strips, they were dry and burnt, so much so that he started choking because they were stuck in his throat!

Last month, I visited this location with my sister, trying to give it a second chance. First of all, the girl working the counter looked so stoned. The dressing that came with my sister's salad (I think it's the dressing that is ranch mixed with salsa) was SOUR. Thankfully, it came on the side and not on the salad. I ordered a club sandwich on wheat bread, but what I received was a California wrap. When I explained to the girl that this was not what I had ordered (for the third time), she sent it back. However, what I received after was still NOT a club sandwich. I don't believe the sandwich I received the second time was even an item on the menu! Why list a club sandwich on the menu if you don't know how to make it?

Thankfully, another server was very apologetic and professional and issued me a complete refund. I'm not sure what happened to this establishment, because it used to be so good! The food and portions used to be substantial and delicious, but every thing is overcooked...

The address of this restaurant is 139 Allen Toussaint Blvd. The name of the street WAS Robert E Lee. It is no longer as of February 1, 2022

People who refuse to accept this street name change keep changing the address of this restaurant on google as 139 W Robert E Lee, which is still a valid street name and completely different street.

If you put the W Robert E address in your GPS it will direct you to the WRONG address. West Robert E lee is on the other side of West End and is a small dead end street. It has a W in the name for WEST. It is not Robert E Lee. If google directs you to the the shopping mall that has a patio furniture store in it or a tall office building with urgent care in it. You are in the wrong spot. Please stop hassling the various employees in this other mall. We had nothing to do with the street name change, and do not want to hear your political views any longer, when you come in looking for Chateau Cafe. Take it up with the city not us.

If you are looking for this Chateau Cafe it's next to Roberts Grocery.

Chateau does not seem to keep up or lock the address in this Google profile.

Again the correct address for this store is 139 ALLEN TOUSSAINT BLVD near Roberts and Walgreens.

The food is also great at Chateau Cafe. When you do...
