recently visited Church’s Chicken at 2506 Legion Fields Ave., New Orleans, Louisiana, and initially, I was hesitant to submit this complaint. As a pro-Black individual, I do not want to disgrace my people. However, this is not about personal feelings; it is about professionalism and the quality of service rendered for the money I spent.
My wife ordered me two spicy thighs, a pepper, a biscuit, and a large Sprite. Unfortunately, the entire experience was unacceptable. Food Quality: • The chicken was horrible—the flour was caked onto the chicken, and it lacked spice. I am familiar with Church’s spicy chicken, and what I received was not spicy at all. • The biscuit was stale, crumbling into pieces like a pile of ashes, indicating it had been sitting for an extended period. • The chicken made me sick—I felt nauseated after eating it. Customer Service & Order Accuracy: • At the intercom, employees rushed my order just to reduce their customer wait times for upper management statistics, rather than providing quality service. • My large Sprite was just a cup of carbonated water—it contained no syrup or flavor. • I was not provided with a single napkin, nor was I offered ketchup or any condiments. A restaurant should never expect customers to request napkins—they should be included automatically. Lack of Communication & Management Oversight: • When there is a 10- to 15-minute wait, customers should be informed before placing their order. It is respectful to say, “Excuse me, sir/ma’am, fresh chicken is being prepared, and it will take approximately X minutes. Would you prefer to wait?” • Selling old food is unacceptable. If employees wouldn’t eat it themselves, they should not serve it to paying customers. • Management allows poor service and food quality to continue, which reflects badly on the establishment.
Given that this is Mardi Gras season, sales should be booming. However, poor service, bad food, and a lack of basic necessities (napkins, condiments, and drink quality) are causing this location to lose business at an alarming rate. If there were a rating lower than zero, I would give it.
I sincerely hope upper management reads this complaint, investigates this location, and takes swift corrective action. This store is operating in a disastrous and unprofessional manner, and it needs immediate...
Read more------Edit: Dropping 5 star review to 1 star. I went back and was not met with the same quality service. So 1) they do not sell spicy white chicken just dark meat. 2) They serve burned biscuits. 3) They have a very bad attitude. 4) Understaffed (they were understaffed the 1st visit as well) So if you love Church's and need spicy go upt and be patient. Gentilly has a decent Church's as well but I can't speak on the spicy chicken.-------
The crew that was there the night I went was amazing. Even though they didn't have the pieces of chicken I wanted, they were very accommodating and everything tasted hot and fresh. I live close to the upt location but this is my new Church's. Yall can teach upt a...
Read moreThey have awful service. I asked for a two can dine meal with a 6.00 coupon. I wanted 3 pieces of my chicken to be spicy. The young lady said it was an up charge on spicy chicken. Then when I got to the window they didn't have spicy chicken available and they wasn't dropping none anytime soon, so I asked for a complimentary pepper. The guy said I can go to walmart and purchase my pepper from there because they don't give out anything. If you need tissue and you asked fir complimentary tissue walmart wouldn't give it to you for free. So I straight up told him he was out of order and he was unprofessional and have poor customer service and I'll be reporting him...
