E'Co Vegan Cuisine (Online Ordering Online) — Restaurant in New Orleans

So, as a 6yr vegan, it’s imperative I check out the local eateries and stay on top of the fact that everything I order and eat is indeed vegan. I placed an Uber east order after phoning in to determine if the “shrimp and grits” were actually vegan. The owner answered quickly in an optimistic manner and tone. She was so polite and helpful (as I may be a bother to ill knowledgeable people concerning recommendations and or ingredients). She gave me just what I needed to make the best informed decision. A couple (2) days later during my overnight shift I called to assure she could accommodate me as Uber eats wouldn’t deliver to my work address, she walked me thru the steps to order from her website and accommodated me beyond typical circumstances to provide me company delivery all at almost 2am yall. I am sitting eating my food as we speak, time #2 has been the charm, same meal same consistency. The shrimp and grits and French toast. The filling is perfect for 2 and just enough for me (I’m a foodie). This is vegan soul food at its finest, literally HOT to order, no need to microwave, I look forward to my next order and getting out of my comfort zone to order the cheesesteak and or shrimp poBoy.

First off, the proprietors are lovely. Really caring folks.

The menu has a fun variety of things, including some things that were new to me despite eating vegan for a long time in big cities. The flavors were great.

I like my food salty - more than most folks I know - but I actually had to stop eating because I couldn't handle the salt level. Had the second half of my entree the following day and barely made it through the second half for the same reason. This was not true for every dish, but mine wasn't the only one.

Maybe I'm old and internet-stupid, but it wasn't obvious to me that this is a take-out only establishment, so be advised.

Definitely adding this to my list of go to vegan places! I ordered the buffalo chickpea sliders and mango ginger smoothie. Everything was fresh, soy free, and delicious. Customer service is absolutely EXCEPTIONAL. I ran into an issue while ordering something from UberEats, and the owner personally reached out to me to make sure everything was straight, and she also make sure any preferences I had were taken into consideration. HIGHLY recommend this spot. Looking forward to trying the other menu items!

Side note, I've never been a huge fan of pickles, but the pickles on these sliders were so good, I would eat...
