Now listen… I wasn’t sure what to expect with a name like Chicken & Watermelon, but baaaaby—they knew what they were doing when they put this menu together!

First off, the chicken? Fried to absolute perfection. Crispy outside, juicy inside, seasoned like somebody's grandma is back there holding the secret recipe hostage. Whether you get wings, tenders, or bone-in pieces, it's always hot, fresh, and finger-lickin' GOOD.

Now let’s talk sides and extras—because yes, the watermelon is real and it’s sweet, but they also have mac and cheese, fries, and other comfort food staples that hold their own. And the portions? Let’s just say you won’t be leaving hungry. Bring your appetite and a to-go box.

I was so excited to try the fried red fish and crab rice. It felt like stepping back in the early 2000 music selection was Amazing. The young lady at the counter taking my order was so helpful and explained the different tea/punch options. I rate her 5 ⭐️ I ordered and drove back to the Westbank. Just to open my plate and my red fish was over cooked (fried hard as a brick) 🥹 the crab rice was perfect. I called back just to let them know my experience. The lady that answered the phone was extremely helpful. It was when she placed me on hold to talk to the kitchen staff I heard a man say that’s not his business. I thanked her for her professionalism and advised how disappointing it was to hear him say that. Pics of the red fish, crab rice and payment details attached. I would try them again but make sure the guy that’s in the kitchen feels good food is most definitely his business. Order here about 20mins ago thru UBer Eats. I specifically ask for Blue Cheese with my 10 piece Cajun creole and a side of fries. Automatically, a slice of watermelon comes with my order. That’s is the main reason why I order from them here in New Orleans. (A Brotha in New Orleans for the first time, shoot chicken and watermelon sounds good)

Well when I got my no Blue cheese as requested and no, get this, WATERMELON!!!!...WTH!!

So I called and I was told that they didn’t see my notation for blue Cheese and lots of it. And on top of it all, THEY RAN OUT OF WATERMELON!!!!....and it’s was only 6pm in the evening.

Do not, I repeat, do not advertise something in your Title of establishment and run out of that very thing you are known for. Then when I tried to be compensated for the watermelon and condiments, all out sudden their employee that answered the phone began to tell me she could not hear me and phone (Apple iPhone 8 with Verizon here in Downtown New Orleans) was breaking up....GTFOH!!!!

But the chicken was good...
