Fat Harry's — Restaurant in New Orleans

We were there to watch a football game and the atmosphere is super fun! However, we were told no when we ordered a drink from the cocktail menu on the wall with no explanation. We just ordered something else. We, truthfully, didn’t tip very high - 10%- because we never interacted with the bartenders except to be told no and wait in long lines. We didn’t sit at the bar and ordered pitchers to avoid the line. The bartender chased us out of the bar as we were leaving yelling at us for not tipping her at the level she felt she deserved. I was a bartender for years and would never dream of doing this. The whole experience of being yelled at outside the bar while trying to leave has made it so I don’t want to go back even though the food was great and I had fun watching the game, because I don’t want to be harassed by the people working there if they feel I’ve not given them enough...

Been in Nola 4 days and until today it has been wonderful. Very nice people everywhere except Fat Harry's. After a long day we stopped at Fat Harry 's a local, recommended bar and eatery near were we were staying.. From the moment the bar guy saw us he had an attitude. A customer answered our question about whether we could seat our self as the bar guy ignored us. We sat for a bit and he came to say we had to order at the bar which we were fine with had he given us a menu. Some of our diverse group of 6 ladies felt offended. We weren't sure if his problem was our diversity, not being locals or because we were women. We choose to leave and he actually came to us as said goodbye ladies there is a nice restaurant next door. Really? We went to Superior Seafood and received good customer service. It's not about the food but the customer...

We watched the Super Bowl here. We didn’t care if the food was good. The most important thing was TVs and Eagle fans. Not only were there enough TVs and Eagle Fans, the staff was great and the food was really good. The wings had a combination of bbq and buffalo sauce, yum. The chicken quesadilla was juicy, tender and cheesy. The wedge salad had crispy fried onions which was an awesome addition. And the Turkey club was fresh Turkey and had a slice of cheese.
