Walked in to grab a quick beer and enjoy the view from this place, excited to try it for the first time. Imagine my surprise when my entire group of 4 people were completely ignored by the 2 waitresses behind the bar while we stood patiently waiting for anyone’s attention for almost 20 minutes. There were only two customers at the bar who already had drinks so it was not an issue of the business being slammed at all.
Apparently this passive aggressive behavior is what you get if you don’t “sit in the bar stool while you’re inside” or understand through osmosis that you can only be served from outside the bar on the dock from only a small portion of the actual bar space. Read moreThis place is a wonderful little secret in the New Orleans Marina area. It is situated right on the bank of the canal that leads to the marina, and you can access it by coming from West End Park.
The menu is mostly typical bar food - wings, fried things, etc, and all of that is EXCELLENT. What is most surprising is the pizza - I’ve had it several times and it is terrific!
The vibe is very, very laid back… people bring their dogs, everyone’s very friendly. There is an indoor section and an outdoor section, I guess that is the dock itself. It is always a treat to sit outside when the weather is...
Read moreA small place, tucked away by the West End Marina and Southern Yacht Club. The people working here are friendly and eager to chat. It's a newly renovated boat fuel dock, so everything is new and clean. The menu is really small, as is the kitchen, manned by the single chef, but the wings are great(with homemade buffalo and lemon pepper sauces), as is the pizza. The homemade dough is really good, and the fresh ingredients and flavors really make this some of the best pizza in town(and I'm pretty picky about my pizza). Very surprised by this place, but will...
